I got here to NOLA last year to begin working on my graduate degree and I brought my old Diamondback bicycle with me. I had it tuned up by two other shops during the first year and they did an OK job, though the wait was more than I thought it would be and I had to endure a...morettempts to upsale me. Then one of the guys I go to school with told me about N.O.B.S. He raved about how special this place was. So the next time I needed a tune-up, I took it there. The difference was, in a word, incredible. My bike didn't shift, or brake this well even when I got it brand new and tuned by the shop I bought it from. I haven't had to take it back in yet, and that in itself is unusual. His work lasts. I am writing this review today, (something I ashamedly rarely do) because I just went in to N.O.B.S. to buy an odometer and have it installed on my bike. The owner showed me a fancy wireless odometer, told me what it does, and ask me what I'd be using it for. I told him, I only need the actual odometer function and, to my surprise, instead of trying to upsale me, he actually talked me OUT of buying an odometer and INTO downloading an App on my iPhone that would do exactly what I needed it to do. This is the kind of service you get from this cat. He is interested in doing great work for a fair price if it is needed and if it's not, he is honest enough to tell you so, even if it means he loses a sale. Integrity. Honesty. Care. And wicked cool skill. I will never set foot in another bike shop except his. If you need a bike or bike work, or even nothing more than practical, experienced advice, then check this place out. You will not find better in NOLA. I wish everywhere I did business was like N.O.B.S. Peace. view less

go to any of the other shops in town and they'll tell you at least a week on anything. GNO is particularly bad. What you don't understand mr. "dissapointing" is the line of bikes already there to be repaired that day. You get what you give. I've been a cusrtomer...more for 7 years and have always had a good experience. People need to understand that they are not the only customer at a shop. Take some personal responsibility and remember that good service take time.view less
Been going to these guys for years and they've never steered my wrong! Great mechanics, friendly, helpful staff that always give me good advice. Highly recommended!
