Silver Cross Hospital

Attention! Please don't go this hospital. They are not here to serve your best interest or saving your life. I just had the most awful experience with the on call physician assistant.Gayle Scheetz and her RN nurse Lindsey. M . This two women made me feel even sicker than I do now. I was judge and treated unfairly and I wasnt treated like a individual in need of help. I can tell you this please dont go to this hospital in pain and worried about your health and have prescribe pain medicine at home because Apparently they check all pharmacies to see what medicines you have which doesnt bother me but appreantly it makes big difference because I was told by the doctor and the nurse to go home and take what I had for pain. I literally teared up because I couldnt belive it. The first thing the nurse said was "We don't know you" I still didn't't understand. But it hit me. I was being profiled as Drug addict and not a Patient. I will not stop until until those two are fired. No person should go through what I just did.

I was hospitalized 3 times for the same problem. I had surgery for another issue. After surgery, which was serious, I was discharged to home without any offer of post discharge care, which I needed since my husband is disabled. I had to ask one person to not come into my room since she was sneezing and coughing everywhere and I had just had major surgery. One year later at another hospital I found I was quite ill, which was the cause of my admissions to Silver a year before. They should've caught my problems on basic labs, which were NEVER done, even before my surgery. I don't known what the problem is but in some ways the staff seems disorganized and overworked. I will go somewhere else from now on.

I live in new lenox and my primary dr is in tinley park. I needed my simple yearly blood work done and my dr suggested to go to the new silver cross cause it was close to me. In the past years I had my blood work done at ingalls In oak forest. Well....... after having blood work done, I get a bill of $1700!!! The same blood work at ingalls was $680. My wife went to the emergency center of silver cross about 3am for some abdominal pain, they just gave her Tylenol and sent her home and sent a bill of $1200. Do yourself a favor and dont use the hospital if you dont have disposable income! They apparently want to pay the new hospital off in a few years on everyone's back....
