Hadfield's Seafood

I work for Bank of America as a investment officer, and I travel alot. I eat seafood at least three times a week. While traveling thru New Castle, Delaware I came accross a seafood carry-out place called Hadfields. My thought was to pop in and get some fresh seafood to eat for lunch. I was wrong! I was greeted by a young man that asked for my order. He explained to me....He was having a bad day. I asked how fresh the fish was, he said it looked good, however it smelled "A little Fishy'. I asked about the shrimp, He said it was "Thawed out" fresh last night. I ordered some fried shrimp, scallops, and a half a dozen Jumbo Crabs. The place is small, however they have three picnic tables insinde. I sat at one, and began to eat the shrimp. They were like shoe leather! Dark brown, and hard. The scallops were somewhat raw in the middle, under cooked. I decided to try the crabs. The crabs were re-heated, dried out, and did not smell fresh! I even had a few that were cold in the middle! Well, I took it all back to the counter to ask for a refund. The young man said "I will get the manager". After 20 minutes waiting for the Manager, another young man, comes out of the back office to say...."I'm sorry, we do not issue money back or refunds, only store credit". I was fit to be tied. I kept my cool, and explained that the seafood was horrible, and dried out. He quickly replies..."This is what we have to work with". He also says...."It is fresher on the weekend when more people are here". He would not return my purchase! I will have my charges reversed on my credit card, and I am going to call the Better Business Bureau of Delaware, and the Delaware Board of Health. At my hotel room, two hour later, My stomach was turning, and to top it off...I was up half the night. I am sure the seafood was not fresh. I am writting this review to warn anyone in the Delaware area....DO NOT EAT AT HATFIELDS!!!
