Dietz Gun Shop & Range IncAdd to mybook
well, it's been there for quite some time. u walk out & staple ur taget urself, then stand next to others while shooting. nothing is "seperated", per say. u depend on courtesy & vigilance to stay safe out there. everyone seems nice. the best thing about them is their rate. $10 a day, per person. that's it...can't beat that. just watch out...u walk out to the target & in the lane to shoot... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag Abuse
I just recently visited Dietz by first time and I like it. The people were friendly and I had no problems of any kind. The place is rustic as they advertise in the webpage so when I got there is what I expected.
The range master was not very talkative but he wasn’t rude either. I grew up shooting guns in the countryside and this range is like going back in time. This place is for people who like the outdoors and app... view more
The main road is under construction prior to turning to the access road but it was still navigable. The GPS was accurate, for a change, which gave me a heads up to the road.
the range had plenty of shooting stands and very good customer service. RSOs were very friendly. Policing of the brass could of been better.
Once the road construction is completed, it will be easier to get there.
Ok, the sign for unloading the gun is obvious. You take a loaded gun to a gunsmith , prepare to be chewed out. That's common sense.
After reading these reviews before I went to this range I was skeptical. I have been to the range twice now in the last 2 weeks. These people were friendly and helpful. Have no idea how they got these bad reviews. Great place. Took my 14 year old son and had a good time. Maybe if you d... view more
I shoot at Dietz about once a month. I like this range because it is private and nobody bothers you. The range safeties leave you alone too. It is also great for the price. $10 will let you shoot all day, but even better yet, it is only $1.00 if you're military. That's well worth it in my opinion. My only issue with this range is that they only take cash, no debit or credit cards. So if you want to go shooting there,... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
We visited Dietz for the first time last week ... I think it will be our last. First, the place is a Texas trailer dump. Zero class. Even the single-lane rode into the place is a mess. We could overlook all that, but the deal-breaker was the sour looks and strange personalities of the staff. No one was the least bit friendly to us newcomers and no one was helpful. We got the impression that this was a hangout fo... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
jskeen56 is right on the money - goto bracken or cedar ridge if you want to be treated like an idiot - I have properly and safely used firearms for many, many years . - took my children to Dietz and bought a family membership. We always go back - the range master is courteous and does a great job maintaining safety without talking to you like you are a moron like cedar ridge does. You can shoot handgun, rifle and sh... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
The range master stays out of your business, but keeps a watchful eye from a distance. No one screams at you for firing your handgun at a rate of greater than one round every two seconds. (That's right, Bracken, I'm talking about you! DO NOT GO TO BRACKEN!!!!) Dietz is managed more like a gun range than a boot camp. I go to Dietz when I want to shoot one of my rifles or handguns, and enjoy my sport. I go to other ran... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
