This is just my opinion I will NEVER deal with these vile people again, and nor should anyone else. A year ago requested an estimate for landscaping across the front of my house, decided to go with Gorham. Waited and waited called and called after two months was told my job wasn't big enough and I was put at the bottom of the list. I had purchased a tree they were holding, picked it up and it did not look great on one side, their answer oh it was just smashed together with others. Well that part of the tree died. Went to return and was received with such rudeness, insults and bad language. REALLY how do these people live with themselves. They don't deserve the respect of our business.......



I concur with Tammy. We also spent thousands over a two year period. We went in this past week because we wanted to replace a tree that died that was not guaranteed anymore as it was over a year old. We asked if they would come out to look at the other trees still under warranty to let us know if the rest were going to make it. He became rude and indignant that we were asking him to come look at the trees. Half our trees are still supposed to be under warranty but they refused to honor it. Stating it was a really cold winter. Unbelievable to me that a customer can spend thousands and be treated so poorly, we were looking for advice, not free trees. In 2014 we bought 10 6ft evergreens and a birch. Three had to be replaced. We let them replace them with their stock not exactly what we had purchased. Those three look terrible. Which by the way do not get 12 months of warranty from their replacement date. Then we bought 19 more trees. Of those, one has already been replaced, again with what they had in stock, not exactly what we had purchased. We called three times only to be told we had to come in in person to request they come out and look at the trees. It has been 6 days since we went to the garden center and I am still upset as to how we were treated. And did they come out this week to evaluate the trees we spent thousands on? No. I will never recommend this company and have half of mind to put a sign out in front of the dead trees letting everyone know where they came from and the terrible service we received. What is sad for them, that all they had to do was come out and evaluate the trees and we were ready to purchase another 21 trees to finish off the yard. Their loss. I have no respect for them.


Will not honor warranty

I spent several thousands landscaping my yard last year. Their merchandise offers a 50/50 warranty but if you pay for them to plant they cover at 100% in writing. Due to the "worst winter" in 150 years they will not honor at 100% nor would they honor some plants at even the 50!!! Also the evergreen tree they raved about which are what died and need replacing they are not going to carry this year because the shipping from Oregon costs them too much. I took their advice and their word (and in writing) and now I'm sol for around $1000!!

It took some convincing but they decided to honor the warranty and replace the trees that died so I am satisfied once again with them.


Quality Stock, Helpful Friendly Service!

Don't waste your time at the bix box stores or other nurseries in the area. At Gorhams you will be greated by a nice, knowledgable family. Plus, they helped assist us in choosing the perfect plants for our project. Gorhams also had the largest selection of "quality" products we have seen. We are 100% completely satisfied with the way our plants and trees look. The only problem is; we need more! We will be back to Gorhams to finish our project.
