Beware of this place. you may not get your own meat back, they may rob some of it, always screw up your order and will tell you in a super friendly BS way anything you what to hear-- LOOK FOR ANOTHER BUTCHER!

I took a cow and a pig there a few years go and it turned out ok. So the following year I went back with a cow and I didnt feel like I got all my meat back was quite disappointed. I recently tryed this place on rt 233 in westmoreland and extremely happy with the work they did will definetly be going back.

Got ripped off, as well. I'm a local. I butcher my own deer but due to the warm weather I had them hang my deer in their cooler to age for a few days - for a cost of course. When I went to butcher my deer, at my house, I noticed one of the filets (inside tender loins) was cut out. I called them and informed them of the incident. They said they would check into it. They never called back. Buyer beware.

Do not go to this butcher, we got ripped off, they took our pork loins, most of the meat was missing, did not get what we ordered, and ribs looked like scrap meat, most of the BBQ meat missing, the weight was to be 289 lbs after hanging, what a joke it was, only five packages of smoked chops, hams were freezer burnt, could not even cut the ham, had to give to dogs to eat, just very disappointing, when we spent $1000.00 for a whole pork just to be robbed by a butcher...

I was just visiting my sister and brother-in-law's farm for Thanksgiving, and also to do some deer hunting as a non-resident (I'm from Richmond, Virginia).



Well, I shot a nice buck on the farm and at first, my brother-in-law was suggesting calling some of his buddies to come over to help and we'd all butcher up the deer. But after talking to my wife, we decided to use a processing center nearby.



I called The Farmers Place and told them about my deer and that I was not from the area. I had a 9 hour drive after Thanksgiving to head back to Richmond, Virginia, and hoped they could get my deer processed in time.



The Farmers Place went "above and beyond the call of duty" - as the military always says - and believe it or not, they even worked Thanksgiving Day to ensure the deer was done in time for me to head back to Virginia!



If you are anywhere nears South Edmeston, NY (along Route 8, south of Utica) or heck, anywhere in New York, you REALLY need to see these guys. They don't just wrap your meat in white paper with a magic marker, like in the old days... They do it professionally, and so incredible, the meat cuts look like you just went to the supermarket!
