Established in 1973, VisionQuest is a residential and treatment facility for troubled teenagers and families. It offers training for the development of skills related to reasoning, leadership, empathy, decision making, anger control, conflict resolution and interpersonal problem solving. VisionQuest conducts therapeutic and physical and psychological challenging activities that include hiking, rock climbing, sailing expeditions, bicycle trekking and horse riding. It provides the Wagon Train program, which provides opportunities for traveling cross country on horseback and covered wagon. The facility additionally specializes in conducting individual and group treatment sessions that reduce the effects of abuse, victimization, neglect, exploitation, trauma and unhealthy relationships. VisionQuest maintains one of its facilities in Tallahassee, Fla.
