  The service I have been getting here in Jackson, NJ > STINKS ! The management at the Wall, NJ facility need to be eliminated immediately in which is where I get my service from.The servive man I have > BILL VALDEZ is >GREAT < and is trust worthy. After numerous tries I am still waiting for this so called Manager (Todd) to respond to my numerous calls. Chuck another so called manager to doesn't follow through with his promises. A seeding job in which I payed for is amnd has been and issue now going on for 2yrs now just to get it done right, as this company brags that it does. Everytime you call no one is a round to follow through etc. I am planning to take action in court to press charges and contact the better business board. I was promised once again to take care of my issue at the being of this season (spring) for a re-seeding and once again (3rd time) nothing has been done as of this date of 5/11/12 as expected ! I am totally disgusted and will persue to make this a big issue and be publicized, with witnesses and pictures. Please contact me immediately.   In the spring of 2011 I contracted with Trugreen to give an initial treatment to the grass at 2 properties I own. Not only did they KILL much of the healthy grass, but I had FAR more WEEDS than I’d ever had at both locations. When I called and told them about it, they said they would inspect the yards and call me back, but I didn’t hear from them. When I called... read more AGAIN about the problem, they said it was too late to do anything about it, and accepted no responsibility for the damage they caused! I then asked them to cancel my services.
  
  Now they keep calling me repeatedly, asking me to use their services again, in spite of the fact that I ask to be removed from their calling list!
  
  Do NOT use Trugreen unless you want your yard to look WORSE!!!!

  Kudos to the brave &amp; truthful…

  Kudos to the brave &amp; truthful employee for confirming customers beliefs about FalseGreen. We broke our backs from sodding &amp; landscaping after a house fire. Mid summer we started seeing brown spots which were spreading. We called &amp; was told it was fungus. We later discovered our sprinkler was not hitting the areas &amp; was drought! We were already lasso'd with what would become a nightmare. We agreed only to specific applications &amp;... read more ONLY if we were present. They were to call for scheduling. Never happened, No calls, but &quot;a sorry we missed you&quot; tag always found on the door with the rest penned in greek. We also suspected no treatments actually made.
  
  We complained many times locally &amp; all the way to corporate to people with no ears. We rant &amp; raved, received annoying calls wanting to extend our contract all while we received bills for unidentified services for which we never got them to resolve. We told them to stay off our property &amp; stop calling our WORK &amp; home. Shortly after, we found a sorry we missed you tag and the strangest huge colorful worms on our beautiful half eaten azaleas! We finally paid the bill only to keep our perfect credit from being destroyed the way they did our property. Can you believe they continued to bill us, call to offer a half price treatment &amp; remind us it was time to renew our contract. Psycos! Run folks, we were prewarned with all this &amp; more but we did not know of another service to call in our panic.

  I work here. At first I thought we did a good job now i believe our customers more than i believe the company. I think we water down our weed treatment, we dont show up for treatments OR call customers and let them know. We go up on our prices every year and some yards that are the same size are different prices due to signing up at different times. Nothing is consistent... read more including the technician that treats the lawn. There are no communication skills in place between the branches and corporate let alone between the employees in one building. There are many different solutions for problems and each person has a different one.

If the previous reviews (except for the obviously planted positive review) haven't dissuaded you, I'll just add saying that my experience is precisely the same--ask to be paid in advance, horrible service (I'm not sure they ever gave even one treatment), --always an excuse why the weather's not right, etc--and that's when you can get them to respond), little or no response to calls or e-mails, and...well, need I go on?... read more I kick myself for not having read these reviews ahead of time, a lesson in stupidity for me. I can't prove this accusation, but it seems too suspicious and coincidental that this damage is occurring now after I began with TruGreen and that besides killing weeds they also advertise they perform pest control. The test of truth is; does it make sense? This is what I believe has happened: They planted the rodent(s) for more business. - Peoria, IL.

  Tru green is the most DISORGANIZED mess I have ever dealt with. I had specific requests for my lawn and all seven times they visited they messed up. The applicators were just doing their job but they are POORLY MANAGED. I would call every time I was billed because it was wrong every time too. I even expressed to the manager that i just wanted it to be right and they wouldn't lose... read more my business.i called a final time because I was GROSSLY OVERCHARGED. They would not work to rectify the situation so i chose to use a local company that isn't hindered by a large corporate structure.

  AWFUL company!

  AWFUL company!!!! They will send you a bill even though they do not put the application on your lawn. They will also call your house late at night and wake up your kids. I would recommend anybody else!

  This service is a sham. I thought that they would do good job and signed on with them. This year due to heat it was especially important that the fertilization was right. However, my lawn was distressed and became very bad. Complained to the local Fort Worth office. The supervisor there claimed he came and the issues will be addressed. However much did not happen. One day I happened to be at home... read more when the guy came. Was observing the guy thru'' the window. The truck pump was on and making noise, But the guy did not put an ounce of fertilizer any where. Called back and the supervisor was horrible. They did not own up to the error, instead of addressing the issue, the guy was starting to question me ... How do you know he did not fertilize etc. I decided this business is a cheat and told them not to step on my lawn. The guy was threatening me that they need one month's notice etc. At this point I told them if they ever step on my lawn, I would call the police.
  
  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ... THEY SEEM TO HAVE CORPORATE POLICY OF CHEATING CUSTOMERS. SCHEDULE MONTHLY, ONLY THING YOU GET IS BILL ,.... NO FERTILIZER FOR THE LAWN.

  They did a good job on my lawn for quite a while. I finally decided that I didn't really want to keep spraying chemicals on my lawn because I read that it can kill or keep away lightning bugs. So I decided to cancel service for a bit just to see. Within ONE week dandelions sprouted up all over my lawn while there were none in any of my neighbors' yards. My neighbors... read more had no lawn service coming out before or after this. I cannot believe this is a coincidence. I can't prove anything of course but I believe they spread dandelions in my yard as a final goodbye and attempt to get me to restart their service. I'll never use them for anything every again.

  I have been a... read more brought in the &amp;amp;quot;professionals&amp;amp;quot;. I figured if I was able to make it look decent they would make me the envy of the neighborhood. Boy was I mistaken. First, I had a large brown spot. I was told it was grubs and when they &amp;amp;quot;professional&amp;amp;quot; came to do my first service he would show me. He came while I was at work. He dumped some chemicals all over my yard and I paid assuming all was well. Three months later... still have bald spot and still haven't seen my yard care guy. Fast forward to today. I have weeds and crab grass everywhere except for the bald spots where nothing grows. Also, they decided I needed another grub treatment. I took it upon myself to look up how to determine whether or not I had grubs -I would have asked my yard guy but, I never see him- turns out, I don't, nor did I ever have grubs. It was mold killing my grass. You would think TruGreen would be able to tell the difference. Anyways, I decided not to pay for treatment I didn't need and told TruGreen just that. Well, a couple months and 15 phone calls later that charge was taken off. But, in their infinite wisdom, TruGreen decided to stop treating my yard during this time, which, also happened to be the time of year my grass needed treatment the most to stop weeds and fight the heat. Finally, all is sorted out and they are treating again just in time to tell me they have a service fee hike. I am staying with them long enough to write this testimonial to warn others off. Try anyone but TruGreen! Their technicians don't have a clue. Their customer service is abysmal and now they are one of the most expensive in my area. You have been warned!!!

  Yeah I've used trugreen in the past despite what I heard about them boy did they ruin my backyard. To the point my wife and I decided to put a patio in with a great perenial garden with a great landscaper.

  Don't bother, their staff is rude, one…

  Don't bother, their staff is rude, one of their workers told me to &amp;amp;quot;bite me&amp;amp;quot; after I asked him not to spray my lawn because I have 2 very young children and a senior age dog. I live in The Heights in Evans Mills and the management company hired them to spray herbicide on our lawns. I don't want mine done for obvious reasons, but a little respect goes a long way and these folks just don't have it!

  When I hired truegreen to manage and up keep my lawn, the person came out and told me that he would maintain my yard in current or better condition in which it was. It was in great shape, no brown spots, and a few trouble spots (near the neighbor yards) where weeds were. Since then, they have been out to my yard and &amp;amp;quot;spot&amp;amp;quot; treated my yard at most. These times were witnessed... read more by neighbors and wife. Now almost a year later my yard is ruined. Major brown spots or dead spots, weeds are everywhere and they charged us $50 per treatment. DO NOT USE TRUEGREEN! The company is terrible.
