I have taught for several outfits like this one. They are just websites which contact teachers, sight unseen, through Craigslist and, I suppose, other means. They pay the teacher 50%+ of fees charged. I had a criminal background check done for my student's parents, but none of these websites EVER ASKED ME FOR IT. You could save money by doing your own local research, the same way they do. Your teacher would also be more likely to stay with you because she or he will be earning more, while you pay less. Go local. These folks are making money every week merely by having made the initial connection and paying the teacher. That is the sum of their service. I'm not saying they do a bad job. I'm just saying that I feel they are overpaid for what they do, at the expense of the teacher and the student. Go local, but PLEASE be sure that references are checked, as I do. Be sure an adult is present whenever the teacher is in your home. Once damage is done, it cannot be undone. Be ever-vigilant.

I just love this company! I have taken singing and piano lessons in the past and I recently started taking American Sign Language lessons to get some extra help with a class in taking! My teachers have been reliable and I have already improved dramatically! Also, the staff was incredibly helpful when I called in to choose a teacher. I ended up going with online lessons because I was pretty picky about what I wanted in a teacher! I am very happy with my experience - Thanks Takelessons!!

Laura is a great teacher! My grandson is interested in a variety of styles and has already shown progress after only four lessons. Laura teaches proper technique and gives good warm up exercises. My grandson really looks forward to his class each week.

Jessica has taught me the major and minor chords in a fun way. Now I am learning how to read sheet music. She is understanding and patient with my music choices. I really enjoy piano lessons with her.
