The service was fine.

The service was fine. We were seen pretty quickly, which was nice considering how long the regular emergency room takes. The downside, which caused the low rating? The surprise bill. On top of my insurance benefits and my $75 copay, I got a bill in the mail for $320. And I have good insurance. Had they done something out of the ordinary, to warrant an extra $320, I would not complain, but this was a basic exam. With the regular emergency room, I only pay my copay, but since this is faster service, I would not have been so annoyed if they had billed even an extra $100, but $320 is just ridiculous. I would also not have written such a negative review if they would have set proper financial expectations upfront. There is noting worse than opening up your mailbox to find an unexpected $320 bill. So, if money is not a concern to you, then you will find St. Michael's convenient. As for me, next time I'll just wait in the hospital ER.
