Don't count on getting through to pay your bill

This is the most awful way to have to try to pay your bill if you are using a credit card. You have to call the office and be prepared to be on hold for over an hour. I finally gave up and now I'm going on day 3 trying to get this paid. Really! Why don't you have a website to pay or an automated bill pay system. This is really inconvenient.

Highly Recommended

I was sent to Dr. Lewis for a Glaucoma consultation and found the doctor and staff to be helpful, professional and thorough. I’m happy to recommend Dr. Lewis and staff to everyone.

BEST OF THE BEST

I am not sure where the previous reviewer was coming from , so I decided to write a REAL review. I have been a patient as SWEC for over 10 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. Through my surgeries and yearly visits, they have been nothing but great. Robin helped me with my paperwork and insurance questions for all 4 of my surgeries. Christine and Kelly are always there with a smile to get me in and out of the office in record time (even with Dr Lewis ). The cookies and coffee are really good when there is a long wait in the winter months. Keep up the good work ladies, I wont be going anywhere else.

Long time patient going somewhere else

I have been coming to SWEye Center for about 6 years...loved the doctors and the staff. In the last year however, their office staff has changed and because of the lack of communication and general unapologetic nature when dealing with them, I will go somewhere else. There are plenty of people currently out of work that would LOVE to have a job and would work hard at it...maybe these ladies should keep that in mind..they are the reason I will not go back. Too bad for the doctors, they are good, but will lose business because the girls at the front desk can't figure out how to make follow up calls, can't explain payment information, etc.--even when asked. Frustrating and not worth it....hopefully others have better luck there....

Saved!

When I arrived at Southwestern's Falcon Field office, I was in dire straigths; I had been turned away by my doctor, he said he couldn't help me and my vision wouldn't get any better.. My cornea transplant had been a disaster. I had no vision in my left eye, I had a cataract dead center on my pupil, and I had 9 stitches in my eye, from the cornea surgery a couple of years prior. A misdiagnosed eye infection caused me to lose my cornea, and eventually my lens; altogether I've had 3 surgeries. Trust me, if you have a serious eye condition, go here. Not an eye center! I spent 4 hours at S/W, they tried every machine, every doctor, and then they tried to fit me for contacts with a cataract and stitches on my eyeball (wrong)! Well God Bless Southwestern Eye and the experienced surgeons, opthamologists and staff! Dr. Pfister and Dr. Sherlock saved my eye. If you want speed over quality, go to Walmart or 1 hour glasses; I need an experienced professional so I'm under care from now on...

Wonderful staff and doctors!!!

The staff at Southwestern Eye Center were so kind to my mother. She had cataract surgery and was so frightened, but the staff and doctors put her at ease and made her feel comfortable. She is seeing great again and we can't thank everyone enough.

The service is so bad that I'd go to Shopko before returning to Southwestern Eye Center.

1) It took three weeks to ship my glasses to the lab. I had nothing but my 6-year old glasses for a full month (three weeks waiting to ship plus a week to and from the lab), & had to squint to do computing on the computer while I waited.2)I had to call to corporate to track down my glasses -- the optical staff "didn't have time" to do it.3) I waited 40 min for my appointment, others waited over 1 hr. Staff explained that there were only 2 doc's that day. They ran so late that there were only two or three out of about 20 seats open. Staff explained that people are called based on each doctor's appointment queue when I asked why I was called before a lady who had been waiting longer. How does having fewer doctors then normal explain a long wait when appointments are made in advance, and how did they both get so far behind by 9:00 am?4) The desk staff didn't know anything about insurance, and the tech was snooty.I thought the doctor was fine but the office is horrific.

Optometrist and Retinal Specialist are Great, BUT front office staff are HORRIBLE!!!

My mother has been treated there for several surgeries. The optometrist and the retinal specialists she has dealt with are wonderful, but don't count on Shaylynn scheduling you soon when the doctor says it's urgent. There is just no sense of urgency or quality when scheduling appointments, surgeries or getting paperwork completed by this staff. The incompetence among the front office staff is just unbelievable especially when they support some great physicians. This place will lose patients, but not because of the physicians.
