For a big-city camera store, head north

I've been a customer at San Jose Camera for over 25 years. I've bought cameras, lenses, tripods, flash meters and more. I bought my Olympus E-10 from them in 2000. When I went back four years later to buy my Nikon D2H, I had to drive to K&S in PA to find one in stock. Another time I needed some yellow and red seamless but all they had was white. Poor Customer Service

I was there today; I notice the same poor service the first reviewer mentioned. I browsed the store for about ten minutes and noticed they were consistently flippant to each customer. When, I finally ask about their selection of tripods the sales person walked me over to the area of the store and then left acting bored. I decide to buy my tripod at Kamera Corner, which has much better customer service.

Ditto to previous post: Bad

Good selection, but customer service and good prices WON'T be found here. They seem bothered if you ask them a question and are not at all helpful. You'll likely get single sentence responses and they look at you like you're wasting their time. Agree with previous review

I would have to agree with the previous review. They have a very good selection, but their attitude is horrible. They make you feel stupid because you are not a professional photographer.\r \r I would suggest Keeble & Schuchat in Palo Alto. They don't make you feel quite as bad for asking questions.

One of the worst experiences i've had

I went into san jose camera ready to spend >1000$ on a lens for my digital SLR. When i asked to compare two different lenses the sales guy just shrugged then acted like it was a pain for him to help me.
