On Monday, I got to my appointment and I was told that the wrong windshield had been delivered for my vehicle. I was rescheduled to come in on Wednesday. On Wednesday, I got to my appointment and I was told the EXACT SAME WORDS by a different technician. One of the other guys who had heard the conversation on Monday, said yes, those were the exact same words. The technician said, this happens all the time and that she would take something off the price for my trouble. I was rescheduled for tomorrow; however, I just saw an email confirmation for my appointment. However, it is scheduled at a shop that is two hours away and the price is over $200 more. Don't even think about using these people!!!
This business is sorely in need of better commuicationa and basic common sense!!! After ordering the wrong part and coming out to my house wthout checking that it was the right window first they left, telling me they would call me within a week since they received the new window part. After a week no one had bothered to call me and I finally got a call back after both my husband and I called into their offices to get an update. Four days later a technician came out to fix my window and didn't have the right tools to fix another window that was also damaged because he had "let a friend borrow them." He also did not clean all the gass and my son cut his fingers on glass left in his car seat. The broken window is the back passenger window and I happened to roll the window down a week later to check it and it stayed down even when I tried to roll it back up. When I called them to get it fixed they set up another service call. And on the day of service, the initial techician that came out called to tell me I would have to drive it over an hour to the deaership bc they would have to reset the safety roll down button and he guessed the other technician just didn't know this. I asked him why I was never told about this in the first palce since I would have just taken the car to the deaership in the first place without waiting for a week for the same dealershup to ship them the window and the techician said he didn't think to mention it. All of this was after the initial appoitment was scheduled for a few days out and I was told that prior to that someone would come and vacuum out the glass in my car my car so i could at east drive it between now and then... and when I called to check on where that person was a very rude and unsympathetic dispatcher told me that was impossibe since they do not have appointments in my area on that day and then she hung up on me when I told her she needed to get her "sh^t" together. Five hours later a technician called me from the wrong state entirely to come out to vacuum my car. When I explaied to him the mix up, he compainde that he ahd just driven a long way and took my excplanation as an apology and informed me it was okay. So bizarre The point is if you are in Virginia, call Binswanger Glass or iteraly anyone ese other than Safeite becuase they do not have theiract together. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!
