I actually worked there and had my child there for 3 years, Wonderful teachers and managment ms. tami and ms. shirlene love the kids. They both go out of their way to make each family feel special. Love love love this center. I have worked and had my child at different schools but by far this was the best. This school might not be as fancy as the newer school but definatly a more inviting atmospher. I sadly had to move away and had to leave. I would recommend this school to any parent of any age.

First of all, let me say that the teachers are great. My child loves her teachers and has a great relationship with them all. I know that she is learning and having fun each day. She is always talking about what she did for the day and how much loves seeing her teachersWith that said, I can agree that the management is not the greatest. I have noticed that they talk to you only if they like you. I have walked in the door and management is sitting in the office and it was as if it was all they could do to force themselves to acknowledge me. Many times I have walked in and no one was even around. I understand that sometimes they may need to be in a classroom or something, but I have witnessed management a couple of times, gossiping about other parents and employees. This is not professional at all.My wife and I give the school an overall rating of three stars. We give the teachers 5 stars and the management 1 star.

WOW!! Is this screening site for real? Moving here from Chicago I am in search of child care for my 16 month old. I goggled searches for centers in my area of Powder Springs/Marietta, not a lot to choose from I came upon this site. I started reading reviews on some of the centers. I read some good and bad on a lot of them. This one was by far the most helpful. I take pity on the staff and management of this place, as I can tell by the character of the bad reviews they seem personal. I was glad to further read along and note lots of favorable reviews. As far as my myself and my husband are concerned, we are looking for what is in the best interest of our daughter. People will always have personality conflicts, that is with anything in life.Funny though, I read nothing on the bad review that would to scare me away from taking my child there. I am glad they deal with trouble makers good for them! It means my daughter would be safe. We plan on stopping in and seeing for ourselves. Thanks!

Yet again, almost like magic, another of the less than desirable elements of Oxford has removed itself. It would seem that the children all have a better chance of learning, speaking and writing proper english now! Who says management isn't doing their job?? Hmmmm...Removing problem children? Check. Removing illiterate teachers, who are part of the problem - not the solution? Check. Gee, what dastardly acts will they commit next? Making the children learn manners and wash their hands? You people need to get real, and get a life. Yes, I think these postings have been great indicators that Oxford's management is doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing. They are indeed running off the riff-raff the same way that a stray dog or bum would be run out of your yard. Bravo! I guess the only fault that could be found with them is that it took too long to do it. I,for one, have never seen an empty front desk, and I have never NOT spoken to the teachers and management when at the school?

I am an expecting mother, living in the Powder Springs, Georgia area. I have toured many childcare facilities and done extensive homework on each center. When I toured Oxford Academy, I was pleased to see a bright and child-friendly theme in each classroom. The management and staff were very attentive and polite. I was very pleased with their reasonable tuition and above all, they have a web-cam service (!) that will allow me to view my child while I am at work. I then came home, and did some more investigating. I happened upon this site and I must say, had quite a good laugh when I read one of the reviews. A particular reviewer wrote: Good afternoon all proud parent (you would put an "s" at the end of parent)...but do (it's DUE not do) to the managements...Here's a tip: next time you write something, make sure you have more than an elementary education. Regardless, I will be choosing Oxford Academy to care for my child in the end of May.

As a parent of an enrolled child,I would have to disagree w/Vicki80369's comments. The most important thing to me is the care my child receives when they are not with me.I know that everyone at Oxford, including mgmt, care as much about my child as I do.They are not only superior caregivers but excellent teachers,as well. They communicate well with me on on my child's day and let me know immediately if there is anything of concern.I can say that I've seen the interaction of Ms. Littlewood's child with other children/teachers and it has been disrespectful, abusive and cruel. The blame here should not be on the actions that Oxford took to make sure that the children/teachers would be in a safe environment but on the parents. If a child lives in an environment of good example, chances are this is what will be exhibited. In response to confidentiality,no one would have been aware of the incident w/Ms. Littlewood if she hadn't shown a public display of violence during the school day before everyone

Good afternoon all proud parent with precious children, I too had children at oxford academy, but do to the managements and their ignorant issues, and not enough concern for their children's or their wonderful, pleasant teacher's, i was forced to take my children out, My children enjoy coming to school to meet with their teacher's and friends, but when you walk in the building there no one to greet you at the front desk, and if you do find a member of management there they never acknowledge you or the your child, and if you do walk in the building and there a member of management is there, their are gossiping with another parent of a staff member. There no privacy, trust, love, or any tender loving care at oxford academy, please stay away from oxford, because management will run you away. But if you going for the teacher's you have a better chance. before you enroll get the facts i did. oxford academy is not the academy for my children's.I give oxford academy no star.

Let me just say, as a parent of two children at this school - the management is MORE than professional. I believe that they did the best that they could under the circumstances involved with the disgruntled parent. However, I'm sure that I was not the only parent asking why there were police cruisers parked at the school, and officers inside taking statements about violent threats made by said parent(s). These people were completely out of control, which certainly explained a lot about their child's behavioral problems. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The environment provided by Oxford and their employees was and is first rate, and has done nothing but improve since the removal of this child. I applaud the management for making a decision that was not only difficult, but right. It is too bad that these parents cannot take responsibility for their, and their childs' behavior, and instead continue to set the poor example that they obviously have so far in his life.
