General Info

We offer training in a variety of martial arts inside of the Nei Wai Chia (Internal External Family) style. Students learn following one of two paths: Kung Fu or Tai Chi. Kung Fu training begins with the basics of stance training, blocks/strikes, falls, rolls and basic self defense. This training develops self-discipline, confidence and focus. Then the student will experience training in Wing Chun, Tiger Crane, Lau Gar, Mitsung, Tan Tui and more. Weaspons used initially are staff, sticks, sabre, numchukas, kamas and more. Tai Chi training begins with the basics of stance training, breathing, form work, chi kung (internal energy exercises) to enhance the students strength, balance, flexibility and then improves self discipline, focus, and sefl-confidence. Further training involves Tai Chi long sword, sabre, sticks as the student desires. We teach so that students develop their energy and will modify our teachings to fit the student and their needs.

Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Chi Kung, Self-Defense, weapon training. Plus basic martial arts instruction for students 14 and up for Tai Chi and students 6 and up for Kung Fu. Classes at the Livonia Recreation Center are Tuesday morning Tai Chi at 10:30am, Thursday evening Tai Chi at 7pm, Thursday evening Kung Fu at 7pm and Saturday morning Kung Fu at 10am. Classes at the Plymouth Cultural Center are Tuesday evening Kung Fu at 6pm and Thursday morning Tai Chi at 9am. **NEW** Our school will be offering a Saturday Kung Fu class at Stevenson High School in the Multipurpose or Cheer Room from noon until 1pm. Visit our website for more details and an enrollment form. Registration for this class is through our school. This class is only available through the school year. Classes offered through Guardian Martial Arts are Monday and Wednesday mornings at 9am, Friday evenings 7:30pm and Sunday mornings 11am to 12:30pm.
