This review is about a TERRIBLE experience with metroride in March 2014. I wanted to go only through metroride as I had read such good reviews here but if I could give a negative star I would have been glad to rate that. I had an appointment with doctor so I called the previous day to book a cab from Farmington Hills to Novi and I was told that I need to call one hour before I need the cab, and even after I asked if it was sure that the cab will be available when I call just an hour before, I was assured that it will be. Then when I called up the next day before one and a half hour, I was told again to call exactly one hour before, so finally when I did call exactly one hour before I was told very causally that there is no cab available, and when I hung up as I was in a hurry to find and get any other cab, by mistake I called up another number of the same company (248) 666-0222, the same lady picked up and yelled that this is the same company where I had hung up, and she hung up on me. Is that the way you treat your customers who need a cab for short distances?? I really don't know if they feel whoever wants a cab for a short distance needs it for shopping or some amusement. I was late by an hour for my doctor's appointment, and needless to say the amount of frustration I had in finding a cab with just one hour left in my hand. Also, I had to pay almost double the amount than required as no one was willing to come at such a short notice and finally the cab which I took dropped me somewhere else and I had to walk for almost half an hour in snow to reach my doctor's building. If they would have told me the very first time that there is no guarantee if cab would be available when I call just an hour before, I would have had time to do my research and get a good cab. I hardly write reviews but I am writing it so that people should know how casually and rudely they treat customers who need a cab for short distances.
