- McNamara Florist was founded in 1954 by Robert and Richard McNamara in the corner of a building owned by their father at 1111 E. 61st Street in Indianapolis. The business grew and prospered and eventually expanded to occupy most of the building. The 1970’s and 80’s saw the opening of additional locations on the north side of Indianapolis. Well respected, both locally and nationally, Bob McNamara became involved in FTD; an association of some 20,000 plus florists throughout the US and Canada. Bob was elected to FTD’s Board of Directors and eventually held the offices of President and Chairman of the Board. Bob McNamara instilled values in the business, which are still a key part of who we are today. Those values include quality products; focus on taking care of customers, good taste and quality of design, and above all integrity when it comes to business ethics.

I have never had a bad experience at McNamara Florist. Whenever I call, I get quick prompt service and when I have requested delivery service, the recipients are blown away by the beautiful arrangements. Whenever I go into one of their many stores, I am always greeted kindly and given excellent customer service. Not only are their floral arrangements gorgeous but their home decor is stunning as well. They really go all out during the holidays, whether it be Christmas or Mothers Day. They really know how to cater to their clients and that is greatly appreciated! I would HIGHLY recommend McNamara to anyone; but only if they are looking for: excellent services, outstanding arrangements and home decor, and affordable prices.

Buyer beware with this so called local florist. I was going to use this florist because they claim to be a local Indianapolis florist.What I found out was they are rude, cocky and very very expensive. I suggest using any other local florist, maybe one that has been around for a while...I am sure McNamara won't be with there so called business practices!
I called this company to have flowers sent to a relative. After waiting on hold for quite some time, I found the staff to be shockingly unfriendly and their prices very high. I took my business elsewhere in Carmel and was treated very well and was extremely pleased with what was delivered. My advice...shop around and give your money to a company that appreciates your business.
I have called on McNamara for every occation from Birth to Death and they are wonderful! Thank you so much for your personal assistance and professionalism. I will continue to use McNamara's services as long as they are around.

I would never recommend this flower shop to anyone!! I ordered a very expensive arrangment to be delivered to my mom on her 50th birthday. I was told that I would be contacted if any problems occurred. The arrangement was not delivered and no one called to inform me. Very disappointing!!
