I felt that Gene gave me an fair price for the work I wanted done. With his knowledge and advice, my trees look wonderful. His crew had the work done in a timely manner. They were respectful of not only my property but my neighbor's property also. They do a Great job

The good:

1) They were available within a week of when I called.

2) They had the necessary equipment (aerial lift, chain saws, ladders, stump grinder) and men (5 on our relatively small job) to handle most jobs, I would imagine.

The bad:

1) They are not certified arborists.

2) We (homeowners) were not consulted adequately. We discussed with the estimator / foreman what we wanted, but these instructions were not transmitted adequately to the men doing the cutting. Our ancient apple tree was "topped" when that was definitely not what we had in mind. We had told him we wanted the dead wood removed (there was quite a bit of it), and he said they would need to shape the tree. After the trimmer topped about a third of the tree's height with one cut, after which I waved my arms and told him to stop, though it was obviously too late, he told me that the foreman had told him to "shorten" the tree. The word "shorten" was absolutely never used by us or by the foreman, and was not what we wanted.

After this happened, I took it upon myself to talk with each man who was going to actually cut a tree, prior to cutting, to make sure our instructions were clear.

In short, this group of guys came in and did their thing with no communication with us, other than what we had communicated to the estimator / foreman, who was not there after the job started.

If you love trees and want personalized service, I would look elsewhere.

Showed up within time window for estimate, Did not want to do more than needed to be done and provided great guidance. Trimming and cleaning up 60 pine trees that had been neglected was a big deal. Showed up with a full crew on day they said they would to do the work. Everyone was nice, and professional, and did a great job. I would use again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend. Well worth it,.

Imperial crew was a joy to work with, professional and courteous and knowledgeable. Might cost more but worth it in the end. All employees speak english always a plus!!!!! Would recommend highly.
