Our family faced the ultimate choice of compassion for our dog Joe. He was 13 years old and no longer eating and able to keep fluids down. Knowing that Dr. Schmar would come to our home relieved our agony as Joe HATED going the vet. We wanted his last moments to be comfortable and familiar. Dr. Tom was very informative of the process and what we could expect. He did not rush us and allowed us time to say our good byes. I saw the compassion in Dr. Tom's eyes as he fulfilled our wishes for Joe. He not only comforted Joe, he comforted us. If I could I would rate Dr. Schmar a million!!!!! Words are merely not enough!!! Dr. Schmar is a professional, he was on time, knowledgable; compassionate, caring, gentle and very kind. I would HIGHLY recommend him for all your pet care and needs.
Dr. Schmar has been my vet for a couple of years now. He has always been on time, I have never had to wait around for him. He is very efficient, and takes the time and effort to listen and make sure my mom and I understand what is happening with our dogs. I highly recommend him, I feel he goes above and beyond the call of a normal vet. It is a true blessing to have him as a vet, Thankyou Dr. Schmar!
Dr. Tom came over about three months ago to take care of both Gunner and Audie (my dogs). Not only was he rude he was not friendly with my dogs, plus he got mud all over my new carpet. After charging me the home fee he charged me $40 for gas, which he did not add when I talked to him on the phone! I will never call him again! Three months after he came over, Gunner passed away
Apparently "Horrible" doesn't know who came over to his house to care for his pets. After a thorough review of my computerized medical records I could not find either of the pets he named that I supposedly saw and were "rude" to. I am clean and respect the property of others, I do not leave messes when visit a home. Also, it is implied that I somehow killed Horrible's dog remotely three months later? Wow...that's a stretch considering I don't even know you!I suggest that you know who you are complaining about before you disparage a caring and compassionate veterinarian. And after looking at every review Horrible has written, it is apparent that Horrible hasn't met an individual or business that he hasn't had some kind of a problem with.
Execellent Care.......Taking Max and Buddy to the vet last year was horrible , so this year we decided to try Dr. Tom :).
Dr. Tom arrived to the house on time , was very friendly towards Max and Buddy (you can tell that he really enjoys his work) by the end of the visit Max and Buddy didn't want him to go . Buddy started crying at the door.
I highly recommend Dr. Tom for your pets needs.
How wonderful to have the same quality if not better care for your pet in your home. It's almost stress free. Well done Dr. Tom thank you.
Dr. Schmar is a caring individual that loves animals. Boo is older and hates the car. Our concern was the trauma of a trip to the vet and possible heart problems with the stress. Plus, he is 150 pounds, and is a load to try and get into a car. The Vet came to us, and Boo loves him. That is alot to say as Boo was an abused dog we got from the Humane Shelter and doesn't trust anyone but family. He lets the Doctor treat him without any stress. Thanks, Todd.
What a great idea to have a house call veterinarian. It sure takes the stress out of my animals and myself having to take them to a Veterinary office. Dr. Schmar is a very caring and thorough veterinarian.
