I wish I could tell you how the actual grooming was but I can't because I didn't get my appointment. I found this whole process to be unreliable and I feel like Happy Hound didn't really care about losing a potential regular customer that was going to use their services every couple of weeks. I have a wonderful dog named Charlie who is actually very well known online and actually has his own following. The problem with Charlie is he is not keen on water or baths and though he is the sweetest dog when it comes to people he is not a dog person. I have difficulty going to the vet or groomer's because he wants to bark at other dogs and specifically does not care for little fru-fru dogs so this puts me in a dilemma, he needs grooming care but I don't have the luxury of taking him in to a groomer so I decided to try this as an alternative.
My experience with Happy Hound was this, I filled out a very detailed form and sent it to them online with expectation to hear from someone immediately to make an appointment and got not a single response via email or phone. I called them at my next earliest convenience as I was in the middle of a move. I was told they were having problems with their online server and that is why I got no response. I then made an appointment on a specific day at a specific time as to work around my work schedule and purposely did not schedule myself to work at the time. I was called today (the day before my appointment at 10am) for them to confirm and flippantly told that they were unable to come in the morning how about the afternoon? I said no I have to have it at that time due to my work schedule. Oh, sorry, can you do it another day? No once again I picked this day and time and by the way sent in the form a month in advance and spoke to someone making this appointment 3 weeks in advance. So they didn't tell you that the times can change? Obviously not or I would not have booked with you. I am so disappointed and will not recommend Happy Hound. Even if the grooming is top notch their reliability is obviously very low if they can change the times on a customer that booked 3 weeks in advance the day before. Not a good way to run a business. If you decide to go ahead and try them despite my story, good luck, I hope they keep you appointment for you. Now if you will excuse me I have to go see if I can find another mobile pet grooming company to book with.
