Horrible experience

My wife and I made an appointment a month in advance for a Subday move within the Orlando area. The movers were supposed to be here between 0930 and 1000. Well, the movers never called or showed up, which left us scrambling for a plan B. Luckily, we were able to find a new company that worked with us and made up for our bad experience. I would not recommend!!

Do not use them. They are like cowboys in moving furniture. I spent tons of maney fixing my new house and they damaged door ways and frames. They severly damaged my condo door that I moved out of. They brok the glass on lmy display unit.
They spent more time complaining about having to move items that had glass on them.
They used my personal equipment to move since they liked it better than their equipment. They used my screw driver (which they took) and my tape.
This was a terrible experience. -

Simply the BEST mover we have ever used and we have used many over the years. We moved down here last year from New York and had a company out of New york and it was a nightmare. So much of our belongings were damaged along the way and when they got to our storage we could not believe what had happened. So needless to say we were very reluctant to use a mover again. One of my coworkers recommended Florida Family because she had just used them. I had already called a few movers and still was not comfortable, but after talking to Florida Family It was made very clear to me the price for their services. Once the crew arrived on the day of our move, they did a written estimate before they began loading at my storage. They were on the money. The final price ended up being less then the estimate. The guys really hustled and were so careful not to damage anything. We will surely recommend them to anyone who needs a good mover in Orlando.

This Company was Excellent.
This Company was Excellent. Joey and Mike did an excellent job on our move between apartments in Orlando, even with an extra stop at storage. They were polite, quick and there were no problems or damages. The price was exactly as Liz told us and the guys even showed up 15 minutes early. I'm glad the complex recommended them to me and I would recommend them to anyone needing a move.

We just moved to Orlando from New York…
We just moved to Orlando from New York and had all our household goods put into a storage by a company out of New York because we did not have jobs or a place to live yet. After we got settled we called many local movers to move us out of storage and to our new apartment in Orlando. It seamed that all but Florida Family Movers acted like we were bothering them or was pressure selling us. It was just unbelievable how much these other moving companies really made me feel like just another number. Florida Family were the only ones who took the time on the phone to care about my situation and really listen. I spoke with Liz and she was very helpful and professional. Not knowing many people in Orlando it sure was nice to feel like someone really cared. They were on time and the move went really really GREAT! The price was exactly what they said it wood be and nothing was damaged or misplaced. We moved to the 3rd floor and they did not charge us extra like some of the other movers wanted to do. Wonderful service and a moving company that we will recommend to everyone!

Being a single Mom I was so relieved to use Florida Family Movers and this was the best mover I have ever used. I had another mover scheduled and they never showed up. When I called them to find out if they were coming to do the move they were rude and said they never had us scheduled. I had called them 2 days before to make sure we were. I asked my Realtor for a recommendation and he told us about Florida Family Movers. When I called them I told them my situation they were very professional and worked with me to get me and my family taken cared of as soon as possible. My elderly Mom lives with us and has special needs and I was so concerned that the movers would have the patience and understanding to make the move as easy as possible. They we just amazing! From the first time I called them on the phone they told me about their pricing and were very straight forward about their costs. They did not nickle and dime me to death. They also make sure to let me know that they were licensed and insured. I was so happy that they did not try to price gouge me because we were very desperate to get out of our house. It says a lot about a company who does not raise their price because someone needs their services in short notice. They sent me an email and put everything in writing as well as their contract. Their movers Joey and crew were on time and gave us a written estimate as soon as they arrived. They were professional and very careful when packing our things on the truck as well as taking them off. I was so happy too when they took the beds apart and put them back together for us. I could have never have done that. They are the first movers NOT to damage anything during our move. The final price was less than Joey's estimate and they we so kind to my kids and Mom. I have been telling all my friends and coworkers about this company. I have already had a few of my friends us them and had great experience just like I did. We will moving in a few months into our new house and we will use them again!

I wish I could give it ZERO stars. These guys are crooks. They stole my jewelry and some lawn maintenance equipment. When I called to complain, FRED said it was my word against his!!! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THEM.

When it came time for me to move, I requested several quotes online. Florida Family Movers was the first to reply. From now on I will start with the second. Everything started well enough. Anthony and Ben arrived late, but they did call to let me know. When we got to the new apartment, I did a walk-thru with Anthony to give him an idea where everything was going, then left my wife in charge while I went to get lunch for my family. When I returned, but before I could go inside, the guys came out, said goodbye, and left. At first I was a little put out as I was not given a chance to tip them for their work, but then I went inside. The walk-thru was a waste of time, as they had dumped everything in a pile in the living room. I may not normally care, but I am handicapped which is why I hired a mover in the first place. Then I learned that Anthony had managed to somehow lock one of the two bathrooms shut, which we had to do without for the remainder of the weekend (the office was closed). I wish that were all. One of my pre-requisites was a familiararity with moving a Tempurpedic mattress set. After being somewhat reassured when I booked the move that they were competent, imagine my suprise when I discovered that they had damaged this very expensive mattress set. At this time I attempted to contact them about said issues. I called and left my contact info for a supervisor to call me back. During the course of the next week I learned that my 40" LCD tv was not working either, so, rather than continue to wait, I called back and spoke to someone claiming to be a supervisor. He expressed concern and set up a date to come check out the damage, but on the day he was supposed to come he called and cancelled. Both my wife and I tried again to get someone out to check the damage, but to no avail. According to the tv repairman, the damage was caused by a shock or hard jolt, and cost me $300 to repair, and the Tempurpedic is still damaged. I moved at the end of November, and have waited to write this review in the hope that someone from this company had any integrity, character, or class to respond, but apparently that isn't going to happen. At this point my only hope is that some representative from the State of Florida reads this review and enacts a lawsuit to have "Florida" removed from this companys' name as a poor representation of the state.

First time I use Florida Family Movers…
First time I use Florida Family Movers and everything was perfect, they sent Abriel and Anthony to move our stuff and they were very professional and I would definitely recommend them to everyone and would use them again for my moving needs make sure you ask for Abriel and Anthony!

I've never used a moving company before…
I've never used a moving company before because of the horror stories I've heard...damaged furniture, over charging once they arrive, holding your belongings until you pay higher fees. Well, nothing could be further from the truth with Florida Family Movers!!! They service the Orlando area and parts of adjoining counties. These guys were ON TIME :) and extremely fast while also being careful of my possesions. Anthony and Bruce could not have been nicer, more efficient or professional. They did my move in under the est. time and put my furniture back together at my new place. I just can't say enough good things about this company and/or its employees!

I wouldn't tell my friends about this…
I wouldn't tell my friends about this place. They are UNPROFESSIONAL, FREDDY DOES NOT PAY HIS WORKERS wages and they break your items! IF you have an issue with a move it is IMPOSSIBLE to contact ANYONE in the office. I'd NEVER use them again.

Florida Family Movers were the most…
Florida Family Movers were the most professional and honest movers we have ever used. We are from New York and had many bad experiences in the past, but not this time. They were ontime and put everything in writing before we started the move. They worked very hard and were careful not to damage a single thing. We had just purchased some new bedroom furniture for our kids (still in boxes) and they put everything together and knew what they were doing. They had alot of furniture experience and worked at a good pace to complete everything. We will tell everyone about them and recommend them to all.

These people are absolute professionals. Carlos and his fellow mover were on time, courteous, price quoted was exact, no gimmicks, no hidden fee's, no theft, NOTHING damaged. I will definitely use them again for my future local move. I have been reading reviews from other movers and changed several times before I chose this company. I am glad that I did.
