I am not a Dominion Power customer, but their power lines run through my property. As such, they periodically send out contractors to perform tree trimming operations. About 5 years ago, they sent out a contractor who cut branches and left the debris all over my property. I had to hunt the contractor down and force them to come back and clean up the mess.
This year (2015) they contact me to tell me they are going to perform their tree trimming operation again. I send an email to the Dominion Power Maintenance manager informing him of problems in the past and that I don't want my redbud trees touched. We have a face to face meeting to discuss what exactly will be done. I took notes about what work would be performed. He says the crews will be there within 2 weeks. THREE MONTHS later, the crews show up and the work they do is exactly what I specified I did NOT want done and what the manager Jon Tanner agreed to. I contact Mr. Tanner and he doesn't recall the conversation. I reminded him of it and commented that I had taken notes as to what was discussed and that I was furious.
I try to call customer service and after wading through the phone maze I am connected with Toni (no last name). Of course she can't help me and says that she will leave a message with a supervisor. I ask for the supervisors name and number. She won't provide a direct number. I ask for HER direct line and she says, "Absolutely not". No accountability there!
At first she only gave me his first name. Finally she gave me his last name.
They definitely don't want you to be able to follow up with a problem!!
