Davo Auto Repair & Towing

When I was younger, I used to bring my race buckets to Davo Sr. Always did an awesome job on switches, paint, and great pin stripes. Last year he replaced my Luminas engine and it was spectacular. I'm a dad now; I'll bring my van to him or his son any day. Miss your old work, love the new work. Stay breezy Sr.

I had my car repaired here after a break in and Mr. Davo did a great job. It took a few weeks but he just wanted to make sure that the job was done correctly.

Stay away from this crook the work will not be done right. The first thing he will tell you is he's been in business for over 30 years, the fact is he has been taking advantage of people for at least that long.

This is THE WORST tow/repair service in the USA!! Davo is unprofessional, has the nastiest attitude and tries to trick you out of your money! DO NOT take your car here! The shop is located in a drug infested area.

I had a horrible experience with Davo. I called him for a tow on a Sunday and he showed up, promising to repair the fuel pump on our 2001 Jag XJ8. The car is not worth much anymore but it's in excellent condition with low miles. I've made an effort to keep it in clean condition. It took him four weeks to repair the car. He couldn't find the pump (I had to order it), and his work was shoddy. There was very little communication during this time and after awhile he called and said there was a leak and that he had a friend that could fix it. He ended up sending it to another mechanic, (who I also know to be corrupt) and had him repair the leak. At this point he quoted me $450 plus $50 for the leak. Finally, he calls me and says, "the car is ready and I need $735 in cash," (I'm guessing he was trying to avoid a chargeback on a credit card). We went to pick up the car and he doesn't show up, leaving the car outside in the rain, with the door ajar (!). When we finally get the car back, there are grease and red clay stains all over the exterior of the vehicle. The interior was filthy: dust, dirt and huge, muddy bootprints populated the floor mats along with greasy fingerprints everywhere. They even broke our key! Of course, I was furious but he seemed nonplussed as if this sort of thing happened all the time. He mentioned that he has been in town for long time and that he had a lawyer. My wife and I felt seriously abused by this fellow and I have found him to be an extremely dishonest person. I would avoid at all costs; I've also learned from many others that he is in constant turmoil and has been doing bad business for years. Time to call it a day, Davo.

A few months ago I needed a major repair on my car. I usually take my vehicles to Davo Jr but since he was really busy and I needed my car in a hurry I decided to try this mechanic (Davo sr, his father). I figured that since the son did an excellent job with my vehicles that the father would too but boy was I wrong. Needless to say I paid him a lot of money for the repairs I needed done but I did not get what I paid for. My car part was put in sideways & was not anchored with bolts like its supposed to be, they anchored it with clothes hanger wire. When I originally took them my car to be repaired I advised them that I only have 1 car and that I no longer live in Columbus, but I work there. I travel a really long way to work one way & that its important that it be done right but it wasn't. Because of their bad work, while I was on my way to my job my car broke down on the highway & I was stranded. I paid them so much money to repair it that I did not have the money to have it fixed again & because I don't live in Columbus I was too far away to have it towed back there. It resulted in the loss of my job along with the fact that I now have no vehicle to drive. I have called them as well as my husband & we keep getting told that Davo Sr will call us back but he never does. I would really not recommend taking your car here.
