This company was fantastic from beginning to end. I contacted them regarding a pick up of a 1988 Mazda 626 LS. The company contracts out with local towing companies in my area. Once I completed the online form, their follow up was immediate. They gave my info to a tow company who promptly screwed up the whole transaction by not bothering to pick up my car. When I contacted www.damagedcars.com, they immediately apologized for the poor service received and referred me to another tow company who picked car up the next day. Kudos to this great company.
I must say they have a well organized & efficient company. I'll definitely refer people to damagedcars.com. it was easy and the service was courteous & professional.
I just wanted to thank you all at Damage-cars.com for working with me to get my lien holder to help me out an get my sale to your company done. Your company went above and beyond to help secure the sale and I really appreciate it. You all worked so well I am in the process of helping a friend of mine to sell his Jeep to you guys as well... Again thank you all very much.
Warning: Only use this service, if you are looking to quickly get rid of a car that no longer has any value. After getting an estimate from DamagedCars.com, I now see that this is what their intent is - offer someone quick cash who isn't worried about getting a fair price for their vehicle.
I filled out the form to get an estimate on a 2007 car with only 59,000 miles on it. It got rearended, but is clearly repairable if someone puts time and money into it. The estimate I got back from DamagedCars may as well have been for scrap metal.
I then listed the car on Craigslist, which takes about the same amount of time as filling out the information for DamagedCars. Within one day, I got 3 offers that triple the amount that DamagedCars would pay for this vehicle.
If you are looking for quick cash for a car that clearly no longer has value, go for it. I checked into this business and it appears to be legit. If you are looking to get money for a car that still has some value left in it, go with Craigslist. You will get a much better offer.
I too had problem after problem...starting with the rude attitude that was given when trying to ask about and sale car to them. They told me several times rudely to fax them documents and then they wanted them a different way. Every time with attitude and disgust. Then when they low balled me twice and finally made a descent offer and TOLD us to check our email constantly for further instructions. We were so hurt after getting in our car accident when we hit black ice on the freeway and slammed into the cement barrier and have been in hospital ever since(Oct 25th was the accident), then having people degrade and belittle us after all we went through and our insurance dropping us etc... We emailed damagedcars.com and their general manager Scott Westmoreland by email and got no response back, as we found a place to leave our personal story we shared with damagedcars.com. Don't feel like this is an experience we'd recommend to anyone, sorry. Honesty hurts sometimes!
Thanks DamagedCars. That was quick and easy
I sold to damagedcars.com after considering my choices. it was an easy way to sell without worrying about a person off the street complaining about the problems with the car. i could have got more money by being less than honest with someone, but this was a better option. everything went ok and the car is gone before i had to spend another dime on it.
I was referred by a friend who had sold a car to damagedcars a couple of years ago and I wanted to work with someone who has been around for a while. The sale was delayed because I had a problem with my title and they were patient while I got a replacement. Once I was ready to sell they were easy to contact and the offer did not change even though a month and a half had passed. I would use them again if I am ever in the situation of having a car that has quit working.
I was hesitant to sell my car online but damagedcars gave me the best price so I wanted to figure out how comfortable I could be with the deal. I checked other car buying websites and all of them had some negative reviews but damagedcars appears to be responding to problems if they happen. I checked the Better Business Bureau and they do have the A+ rating they claim and have been in business for a long time. I decided to go through with the sale and everything happened just like it was supposed to. No problems with any surprises, the car was towed away and I was paid on the spot. I am writing this because I would have lost $400 on my car just because I was worried about problems that did not happen. I can't say more than my own experience, but I am glad I took the deal.
avoid them. promised so and so for car then called three times confirming vehicle where located vin #. set up time for towing... no show... no call... when called they say we dont have your money and will mail you a check... not a way to do business. very dissatisfied.

These guys were really good to work with. They gave the best price for the car, they were easy to contact, they gave straight answers and they always did what they said they would do.
For example, I couldn't wait around with the car for the 8-noon time frame they booked. So they said they would call me an hour before arriving at the site to pick up the car, which would give me enough time to get there. Sure enough, I got a call on the morning of the pick up at 8:30. I arrived at 9:25 and the truck showed up minutes later.
I was initially concerned about accepting a check for the car. But after working with them to schedule the pickup and get info for the DMV release of liability, I felt better about it. I did go straight to the bank to deposit the check and it cleared with no problems.
I highly recommend them.
I tried to find salvage yards in my area but there weren't many to choose from. I sent out emails to several online company's. DamagedCars gave me the best price and showed up the next day with a check that I immediately took to the bank and deposited. I checked my bank account the next day and the money was deposited with no issues. I would highly recommend this company. Quick and freindly service .. no hassles.
I was searching for someone to buy my 1987 chev celbrity that the engine dropped on and so I can't drive any more . Repair cost was not worth the vehicle. I called one man's comp and he offered me $100. I decided to wait . A co worker said my title was worth more so, I looked and found damaged cars. com they quoted $375. The only problem was cashing a check. So I called the first man back and told him the quote and he offered to match in cash. That sealed the deal. I sold it today . If I didn't need the cash now I would probably have gone with Damaged Cars. com. My only concern is being paid by check. I have never heard of this comp. Respectfully David Aston I must say all the people on the phone were very courteous. The only problem was when I called to cancel the pick up it wasn't registered by the operator who answered the phone I know this because I got a call wanting to schedule a pick up. The company I sold my car to is local in Salt Lake City ,Utah called ' Car sold for cash'. Again they matched the offer and it was cash. The only3 complaints about this company is confusion about my car on the phone . they weren't there at the appointed time agreed. And talking on the phone was a challenge.

I had an awesome experience although at first I was sceptical because my 2003 Ford expedition was my baby..lol but when the engine went out I kept her around for3yrs in hopes of coming into some money to get her fixed I never did, so I called two companies one wanted to offer me $750 then I left my information in damagedcars.com they paid me $1,350 for my old expo...they cut me the check and even gave me recommendations on how to clean the truck out properly before pick up, called when they were about half hour away and gave me the check, towed the truck and I cashed it...they were awesome...
Quick and easy pick up. Got paid on the spot.
DamagedCars.com: They towed my car away and never paid me. Now, they told me to call a third party that doesn't retirn my calls.
Do not use their service.

Mr. Lanoue was paid. His payment was incorrectly mailed to the pick up location, not his mailing address. The problem was corrected as soon as we became aware of it. (unfortunately at the same time as this review) My name is Scott Westmoreland with DamagedCars.com I can be reached at 877-877-7911 or by email at scottw@damagedcars.com
Hi,
I had great service with Damagedcars.com. They had picked up my car as stated. They were the best price in town and online.
I would do business with them again.
Michelle
I sold my car to damagedcars.com after a wreck. After shopping around they gave me the best price and were willing to pay on the spot.. It took a day to get the pick up arranged but they brought my check and took the car just like they said.
