On October 24, 2011, I brought my 1997 Chevrolet Lumina in for repair. A misfire was detected in cylinder 1, and a full tune-up was performed to try and correct the problem. Unfortunately, the service was inadequate, because after three days and one billed hour of labor, I had to take the car back from Crane and take it to my garage in Buffalo, Paragon Automotive, Inc. I was disappointed because my car apparently sat in Crane's parking lot, untouched for days, I had a hard time getting the garage to return my calls, and my car was only worked on once I insisted that I was in a hurry and needed to get back to Buffalo. I was told by Crane that the problem wasn’t fixed, but “at least the car was running better.” I actually found that the car was running a lot rougher than it had been. Furthermore, when I took the car to Paragon Automotive in Buffalo, the mechanics found that the coil packs were improperly placed, and the spark plugs were all wired backwards. I was informed that, in some places, spark plug wires were just hanging, unconnected to anything. Paragon actually fixed the problem by replacing the fuel injector. I contacted Crane about a partial refund, since Paragon had to spend time undoing and redoing Crane's work, and I never heard back from Crane. I have since heard from friends that Crane won't answer your complaints unless you get a lawyer involved.
