The Children's Aid Society of Mercer County is one of the oldest private, charitable nonprofit organizations in the Mercer County, Pa., that provides social, children and family services. It also offers birth parent counseling, placement and post-placement supervision services. Additionally, the organization provides foster care and adoptive parent training services, as well as conducts communication, listening, cognitive, and motor and gross skills development sessions. It offers drug and alcohol addiction treatment and summer enrichment programs, as well as organizes recreational and social activities, community service projects, study sessions and parenting classes. The organization runs Family-based Mental Health Services program, which is operated by Department of public Welfare in association with the Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission. The Children's Aid Society of Mercer County is located in Mercer, Pa.
