Centurylink is the worst company ever! I had an appointment to install a jack on Tuesday between 12 - 4, I gave my cell phone number as a point of contact, the tech gets here and never rings my doorbell, never knocks on the door, does not call my cell phone, instead decides to call the number of the home phone that he's there to supposedly to install the jack for?!?!, leaves a note on the door with the home phone th... view more

What kind of racket is this? I changed cell phone providers and so I called CenturyLink to let them know and find out what my closing bill would be. They told me that I would need to talk to Verizon about that. I call Verizon and settle out with them - they even send a paper bill to confirm. If you live in an area they serve and have a choice, DON'T EVER use CenturyLink! We never had their service installed, but we have had nothing but problems with them (we ordered but they wouldn't install without charging nearly $100/hour because it was a new home, something they didn't tell us in advance). Internet speed SCAM!!!!! Let me tell you how it works on Centurylink internet speeds. Say you want high speed internet. You call and they offer you 1.5mps or 10mps for your area. CenturyLink treatment new customers

Called this number and got three times connected to another representative without anyone being able to answer a very simple question: whether or not they were offering internet service in my new area. This took 10 minutes with zero result. Quite disappointing for a potential new customer
