Excellent service! The vet tech was fantastic as she listened to our story and was very compassionate to both us and our pets. We felt very comfortable leaving one of our pets overnight with them and are so grateful they could figure out what the problem was.
The staff was very friendly which was definitely a plus. However, I felt that the prices were sky high. I care very much for my pet so I want her to have the best care there is but I could not afford the price they estimated for me. I decided to go to another vet for a second opinion and am very glad I did because they were able to diagnose my pet and have her feeling better within a few hours for a fraction of the price.
They are a very good vet even though i can not pay right away they help me with my cat and did a life saving procedure i love them thank you for everthing
They couldn't give me a quote over the phone for getting my cat fixed- this shouldn't be rocket science, they should know an estimate.
The immediately took care of the issue I had with their wellness plan. Thank you :) Very happy.
I am so grateful to have found Banfield the pet hospital, they are at a great location not far from my house and easy to take my cat in for treatment! Thank you.
I just want to say you got VERY lucky. In defense of Banfield Pet Hospital I just want to say, having been a veterinary technician for 16 years, I can tell you parvo is a VERY dangerous disease and NO guarantee can ever be given. At both clinics I worked for-we went with a standard response of, "if you're dog makes it 5 days, it usually has a superb chance of pulling through". It's a VERY "iffy" disease, to say the least. It's not the medication that is given to the dog so much as it is giving them IV fluids and the right meds in order to keep the dog alive long enough for it's body's own immunity to fight off the disease. I'm very happy your dog pulled through-I hope you will always remember to vaccinate and keep babies inside until they are old enough to fight those diseases on their own!
I went to banfield about a year ago my dog had parvo they wanted me to pay 1300.00 for 3 days ,i had the funds but there was no asurance my pet would still pull thru. After a long nite of crying and praying i was giving a number to a vet in mercedes which just charged me 389.00 for 8 days and my pet pulled thur.
I put one star for Banfield becuse of cost too much. I have a female of chihuahua so i need her to spayed 400 dollars and shots about 140 dollars. I am not very happy that cost too much. I glad one of my friend gave me phone and send to my dog to spayed and shots cost me 189.00 good deal. I am very disappoint that Banfield is not right uhh rip you off. =(
don't go banfield okay thank yoou
from what i have read about the care they give to the pets that come in i will tell everyone i come in contact with THAT BANFIELD PET HOSPITAL IS THE BEST
I love Banfield. I have been using them for the last 3 years. The people are great, wellness plan works well for my budget. I have never had an issue with the wait unless there was an emergency. I am military and move a lot. I tell all my friends and family to use them. Even when we go on vacation I can take my dog into any Banfield.
I had belonged to a wellness plan for my German Shorthair Arthur for 8 months at the location in Algonquin, IL. Arthur was getting older and needing more care. My Beef with Banfield is that their Vet had left the Algonquin location .They had no vet for 4 months. So I'm still paying monthly for their wellness plan and the day comes when I have to have Arthur put to sleep. They told me to call the Crystal Lake Location. I tried but they were too busy with their own customers and the other customers like me from the algonquin store. Here my boy is crying out in pain saying the time has come to do the right thing for him and I can't get an appointment at any of the many locations I called to. Why do I have this wellness plan again?
I finally found a vet in Richmond, IL ( DR. Pat) who helped me put Arthur to rest.
I want a refund for the last 4 months that I was paying for when there was no vet in Algonquin.
I would not reccomend Banfield Pet Hospital's Wellness Plans because there is no backup vet available to you if their vet leaves at your pet hospital location, They tell you to call another location but try to get an appointment!

I have dog who I have taken to Banfield several times because my other vet was closed. Each time I had to wait an extended period. I found the staff to be nice. The treatment provided cured the problem. However, I though they were a little pricey.
Speaking for a Veterinary technician, something could of been wrong with the batch of rabies vaccinations that they received. They shouldn't of told you, you had no choice in the iv treatment or not, but they were thinking in the best interest of your animal.
My cat had a slightly swollen ear yesterday, and today it was very swollen, and quite inflamed. I called Banfield around 4pm (Saturday!), and was able to take my cat straight in. Everyone was so kind, and their prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend them, and will be taking my other cats in to see them from now on also!
