Techna Glass

Very Happy- I had a water leak in my FJ Cruiser I was told it was a leak in my windshield- I met with JIm at the San Mateo location he spent 30 minutes looking over my windshield for leaks and determined it was my roof rack not windshield leaking- He told me what to order from the dealership to fix it- I was very impressed with his honesty- They also replaced the windshield on my wife Infiniti QX56 we were very happy and impressed with their pricing and service- We are a Techna glass customer for life-

Quoted $200 for Repair while on Phone. Received no Confirmation Email. Quoted $400 at Shop.

I called for a quote on my 2003 Nisan Pathfinder, needed the rear glass on the driver's side. I spoke with "Johnny" in Utah. I was quoted $200 for the repair. Techna Glass told me they would email me the confirmation. Then I was was asked for my home address where they would also send the confirmation. This did not make sense because my appointment was in a couple of hours.



I never received the email confirmation. I sent them an email but received no reply. My phone had died so I could not call them.



When I went down for my appointment I was told the wrong glass was ordered and the new repair cost was over $400.



The sign on the wall said something like, "If we don't keep our promise, we will give you $10".



I asked the manager. "Are you going to keep your promise?". The manager said. "I can't we will lose too much money". If they don't keep their promise they will simply give you $10 instead of doing what they originally communicated.



The manager was also apparently disgusted with Johnny, the person who gave me the original quote. It seems like this was not the first time this had happened with Johnny.



While I was in the office I spoke with Johnny over the phone. He did let me know that there was a misunderstanding and everything was recorded on a tape. I asked him if I could listen to the tape. He said no.



I told Johnny if he would not let me listen to the tape, I would simply report the incident to the Better Business Bureau.

I called Techna Glass and took my Land Rover in for a new windshield. I was so impressed with the way they did the job from start to finish. They covered the hood and the seats as they took out the old glass and put in the new. They took out the old moulding and cleaned all around perfectly before they put in the new moulding. The windshield was put in very carefully as not to scratch the glass or the Rover. They cleaned everywhere and then put some tape on the windshield to make sure it stayed in place before they pulled the car around for my inspection. They gave me some last minute instructions on keeping the windshield dry and leaving the tape in place for the next 48 hours. The service was very professional from the moment I called them to the last words of thanking me for coming in.

I had Techna Glass put in a new back glass for me. They did the job at a good price and I was happy for a couple of months. Then some people were riding in the back of my car said they could hear a little wind sound. I took my car back in for someone at Techna Glass to listen to it. Two guys went for a quick ride and came back and took the glass out and put a new one in. I was very surprised and happy at the same time. They finished the job quickly and they said they wanted to make the car noise stop and needed to replaced the molding and glass at their expense. They said somehow the back glass had slipped a little from being installed and need to be fixed. I was like wow, what a good bunch of people. Thanks guys!

Uhmmm: Techna Glass cheap place, cheap staff, dishonest management, and cheeky owner. They sell cheap brand glass. In my experience Techna Glass is the most unethical company in Utah. They will not honor the warranty. They will blame the cracked glass on the weather, the rocks; they will make any excuse to get out of warranty claim. Do not take your car to Techna Glass, if you do you will be sorry.

This is a great company to call out when you need the windshield replaced on your car because some moron's truck kicked a rock up on the highway and cracked your windshield. I called them and they sent someone to my house to repair and change out the glass on my Mini Cooper. I called around and they were very price competitive, honest, and got the job done professionally and quickly...I highly recommend them for here in the Vegas area.

Poor customer service! Very unprofessional. Will never recommend to anyone.

I had Techna Glass replace my windshield for my car and they did a superb job all-around. The customer service was great when I called in, they scheduled me for the same day, and they finished in under an hour! They also have a free warranty that looks handy if I break my windshield again in the next year; they will give me a new windshield for free, all I'll have to cover is $75 labor to have it installed. Clean waiting rooms, friendly staff, I'll definitely use them again.
