The company is initially responsive and thorough during the sales process. Once your spa cover is delivered, though, your experience may change. The product does seem to be well-assembled, but is built from cheap materials. My cover began retaining water after less than 18 months, and its topside began cracking and flaking away after only 30 months (despite periodic treatment with 303 vinyl protectant). As soon as I contacted the company about the wat...view moreer-retention problem, they gave me a continual runaround, resulting in a chain of email Q&A -- right up to the point that they stopped returning my calls or responding to my emails. They seemed to have no interest in honoring their stated 5-year non-prorated warranty. When the top started flaking apart, I began contacting them again, to which they responded (rather unbelievably) "It's obvious your cover did not deteriorate to that condition over night and if you had notified us when you first discovered it, we could have recommended something to prevent it from looking like it does now. Our warranty only covers defects in material and workmanship and we feel what ever caused your damage is not a defect and therefore is not covered under warranty."
I **did** notify 800spacover.com the instant my cover began showing the very first symptoms of a problem, and they gave me a brush-off. When the problem worsened, they claimed I should have contacted them sooner.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They make a low-quality product, which they sell with a 5-year warranty that they apparently have no intention of honoring.view less
800 Spa Cover has been in business manufacturing Spa Covers for over 21 years and have over ten of thousands of satisfied customers. We are proud to say that we build the finest cover money can buy. However we do expect our customers to take reasonable care of their cover and to notify us as soon as they see a problem developing so we can make any repairs necessary. And not wait until the cover is beyond repair and expect a new cover as this customer did. We couldn’t stay in business as long as we have if we treated customers the way this complainant suggest.
I would to make the suggestion when shopping or needing service for these types of products, that you go where you can see what you desire to purchase. Buying a sauna is an investment and if you cannot see what you think you want
to purchase for yourself, it can and does and did lead to disappointment for us !
Not to mention if you ever need service, and you will at some point, need to call for help and to have to call 800
