Fantastic steakhouse with awesome sides too! The wine list is great too. I recommend making reservations a few days ahead, so that you can choose the time you want.

Great food. Great steaks with salt and pepper seasoning like it should be. Never had poor service.
I have to laugh when people complain about a steak not having enough seasoning. A great cut of beef does not need glop on top of it to taste good. If a cut of meat does not taste good with salt and pepper seasoning, it is a lousy cut of meat...period. Why do you think the lesser steak restaurants put glop on their cuts of meat?
My boyfriend and I went to Ruth Chris to celebrate a special day in Jan 2011.The staff was very professional . My expectations were extremely high (in order to match those VERY high prices)!
I must admit that the ambiance was NOT AT ALL WHAT WE EXPECTED. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in this area.
I ordered the fillet with lobster tail, creamed spinach and a salad. The steak simply melted in my mouth because it was so tender, but wasn't seasoned to taste. So if you're looking for a piece of well seasoned steak, Ruth Chris is NOT the place. However if you like your steak seasoned with just salt and pepper....then you'll love this place. The creamed spinach....umm....it was ok. The Lobster tail was delicious!!!

We've dined at many Ruth's Chris restaurants across the country and always had excellent food and service. It was just one of those restaurants we thought we could always depend on. This location is the only one where the service was indifferent and the steak was luke warm. A Ruth's Chris Steak is supposed to come out sizzling hot! It's one of their trademarks. The drink they mixed was completly wrong, so they took it away with no apology. We'll never waste our money there again. In fact, it left such bad taste in our mouth, we will think twice before going to any of their restaurants.

Our company recently hosted a dinner for 20 clients and staff at Ruth's Chris on West End Ave and it was a great success! The food was wonderful as was the service. I hadn't realized they had private rooms and was very pleased with the arrangements. It was a great experience for all and really helped us smooze our clients! The prices were reaonable and I understand they will currently work with you regarding budget needs. Would highly recommend for company events and even social dinners!

Ruth's Chris is by far the best steak money can buy in Nashville! I really don't think anything compares to it. Serving sizes are very generous and delicious. You cannot go wrong with anyghing on the menue. My advice is get the ""cowboy"" ribeye and something to drink, no need for anything else, it's huge. If you like your steak rare you won't be let down, the middle is still cool when they serve it. I would try to eat it quickly though as the steak is serving on boiling better on a 500 degree plate and it will cook it a little. It's fairly pricey, most the time it costs me about $130 for 2 people. If you are looking for the best steak in town check it out in west end and don't be fooled by people telling yout to try the Stockyard.....it does not compare although it has a unique setting.

My husband and I returned to Ruth's Chris after almost a year recently. It was just as delicious as I remember! The lobster bisque and seafood gumbo were out of this world. I got the filet with crab stuffed lobster..and it was divine. The filet was cooked medium and almost melted in my mouth. The crab stuffed lobster on the side was also fantastic.
I highly recommend Ruth's Chris, although it is pricey. Everything is a la carte, and it's not cheap. It is a special occasion must!
My husband and I have both been to Fleming's a few times as well as Stoney River and Mortons. We feel Fleming's is also very good, but Stoney River could not possibly compare to Ruth's Chris.
The downside to Ruth's Chris is the parking - there is none. You have to valet or park at a meter somewhere on West End. The seat we were given was also direclty in front of the swinging doors of the kitchen so it was very noisy and people were constantly walking by. Although I thought this was not a bad thing because we would always have our glasses full, alas, my husband ran out of water halfway through his steak and had to stop someone to ask to refill it (a real downer at such a nice place with that many staff).
