This is great, classic BBQ located in the heart of Nashville tourism downtown on Broadway. You might have to wait in line to get in, and you might smell like BBQ coming out, but it will certainly taste good!

Best BBQ in Nashville! The brisket, chicken and ribs are absolutely amazing. There are always long lines but it's worth to stand on them. They have amazing sides too, especially the Mac and Cheese. Their sauces that go on the meats are also great. If you're new to Nashville or visiting, go to Jack's!
As a nashville native, I've tried all barbecue joints in town and Jacks continues to reign as the best spot in town for pulled pork, smoked turkey and all the fixings after being in business for nearly 40 years!

Well this place certainly doesn't live up to it's reputation as far as I'm concerned. For starters the staff while not unfriendly, didn't go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The attitude was one of indifference at best & just short of rude at worst.Maybe I expect to much but for $15 bucks for a meal & drink I'd like to eat off something besides a styrofoam plate with a plastic fork & spoon. The sides I tried Mac & cheese & green beans were bland & lacked much taste at all & the portions weren't exactly overwhelming. The 3 meats I had Smoked Turkey (off a processed turkey roll it appeared, not an actual Turkey),the Brisket,& the pulled pork were passable nothing more or less, just OK.The 2 sauces I had the Tennessee,& the Texas were almost cloyingly sweet.Being from Middle Tennessee maybe I just expect more from a BBQ joint but this place just doesn't measure up.If you don't know BBQ you may like it OK,if you do stay away you'll come out disappointed.

A must for taking out of towners who don't know what a ""meat and three"" is ! Pre-game hockey (or concert)meals --and the serving line guys are friendly and funny.. Take your tray upstairs for great people watching on Broadway.

When you see the flying pigs, you know you have found a little bit of bar-b-que heaven on lower Broadway because Jack's Bar-B-Que is the best in Nashville.
Everything is good, but my favorites are the pork shoulder, smoked turkey, and the sausage. Add some mac and cheese and iced tea and enjoy. Bring your appetite and get some extra napkins -- it's great!
