I am writing about the negative review dated July 5 , 2009.
We have owned the Beacon since 1969 and have 4 generations of families that stay with us every year. July 4th weekend is our biggest time of year. We throw a complimentary barbeque every year for our guests. We have at least a 2 day mostly 3 day minimum stay on this big weekend. We had a cancellation on Saturday. This guest was told there was a 2 night minimium stay before he signed up for the room. We had turned many many people looking for rooms. Due to high demand, we do not issue refunds on holiday weekends. I also want to add that this guest verbally threatened me. We are AAA approved and our Health rating is A. Many of our rooms are already booked for next July 4th. If anyone reading this has any questions or concerns about the Beacon before making a reservation. please feel free to call me direct @ 252-441-5501. I am sorry this guest did not agree with our policies, but we have had the same policies since we have been in business.
