Compass Cove Resort

I was very pleased with the the family friendly atmosphere. We stayed 6 days 5 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. I have been going to Myrtle Beach for many years and this by far the best stay!! We will be back. Thanks to C.J. for all his help. Great staff😊

I loved our stay in indigo bldg. The place was clean & no bugs ( thank god)... staff was SUPER friendly, we especially loved Dianne from housekeeping, she REALLY made sure you had everything. I looked forward to staying again.

I've stayed at this Hotel for almost 20 yrs. I don't understand some of the reviews that I've read. This place is clean and very accommodating if there are any issues. There is a lot to do here.... you won't have to leave the resort if you don't want to. There are plenty of pools, lazy rivers and hot tubs. You have a Starbucks in a bar that serves food. The best part is you are right on the beach. I have recommended this resort too many friends over the years and none of them were disappointed

Wooooooooahhh! What a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We booked in the main towel , they put us in the indigo towel and what a MESS. We then transfer to a room inside the main towel. They didn’t have no shower curtain up , the air conditioner unit plug didn’t even match the sockets on the wall so we couldn’t even use no AC. The pools & hot tubs had mold all on the sides , we barely got clean rags & towels. We parked in the parking garage across from the building and had to go up the 3rd floor & walk the stairs back down because they don’t have elevators & last but not least THEY HAD BED BUGS !!!! I will NEVER stay again & don’t recommend nobody else stay here

We stayed at compass cove at the end of September 2017. Could not have asked for a better place. The service was great and if I needed anything they were very efficient. My wife is in a wheel chair and the accommodations for us was great. The staff (maids ,maintenance guys the guys on the decks at the pools) were all so friendly. That's what I like to see in a place I stay. I must say I really enjoyed our stay and planning on booking another stay in January, and February. The guys and gals at compass cove were great to us. Thanks for the staff for making our stay great. North Carolina visitor.

Apparently you cannot cancel reservations due to a family emergency .......first they say I'll ask the supervisor , then say its policy no changes ???? Really 5 days notice in an empty hotel is $150 worth of their time !!!!!!

They lied to us talked down to us charged us for 2 nights while under a state of emergency and the roads home were washed out and they acted like they wanted to help only to ignore us and block any messages I could send them, posts, and ignored our calls after they told us we had to keep our restrictions or loose our money and took money that we needed to feed a child and pregnant woman. Worst management ever!!! Trust me if you don't want to be mistreated don't stay here

This hotel has effectively ruined my vacation experience



Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort advertises itself as a resort. This could not be further from the truth. Perhaps they were referring to the fact that if you stay in this "establishment", you'll feel as if it was your last resort. Compass Cove does have oceanfront rooms which do provide an outstanding view. However, the hotel cannot take credit for the beauty of the ocean. The pools appear to be clean and well kept, however, my daughter became ill after swimming in one of them due to the high chlorine content which itself was due to an obvious failure to maintain proper levels of the pool chemicals. When we arrived, we were given a filthy room. The floors were disgusting. The kitchen floor was sticky and appeared to have not been mopped prior to our arrival. The rest of the room was carpeted with the exception of the bathroom. These floors were also sticky and there were various pieces of debris in the carpet. The front desk had to be called numerous times in an effort to have the room cleaned. The refrigerator was leaking profusely which caused puddles to accumulate inside as well as our groceries to be coated with leaking water, thus making some of them soggy. Once again, my daughter had a terrible experience as her pillow case and sheet appeared to have blood spattered on them. Also, the parking situation is a nightmare. There are 16 floors in the Pinnacle building and only three floors of parking in this building. There is not enough parking to accommodate the amount of guests in the building. We were forced to park in the other building, which was located down the street from our room. Some of the staff were extremely rude and condescending. When we arrived, I did not have my license plate number memorized and the "gentleman" checking us in, instructed me to send one of my children down the street to take a picture of it as he stated it was necessary to provide prior to check in. The only redeeming quality for Compass Cove is that the security appears to be ample and make their presence known. With that said, I will never be returning to this establishment again. If you are considering visiting Myrtle Beach for an extended period of time, I would suggest you consider other accommodations.

The first night I arrived I got the worse room in the place, not even a shower curtain. I requested a new room and they gave me one the next day. They even moved our stuff for us. I was pretty disappointed that they dont provide coffee. Beware if you check in on a Sunday, there is a long waiting line. Anything you should need for the beach they have in their giftshop but be prepared to pay 3X what you would at a local beach store. The kids loved the place and I would consider going back. The Wifi is extreemly unreliable here.

11/07. You do have to park in a parking garage which I thought was a bit small for the bigger vehicles. There is a rest. and arcade on the property. They have an indoor pool as well as an outside pool and lazy river. The view is beautiful. Rooms were okay. The only thing I would say bad is that the grout around the tub was "old" looking.
