Preventive Care

Dental Care
Providing the proper dental care to our patients is very important to us. We can provide in house dental cleanings and extractions along with full mouth dental radiographs. Not only can we see what is going on above the gumline, but our dental radiographs allow us to get to the root of the problem.
Vaccination
Our wellness programs are designed for patients 6 weeks to 6 years of age. During the first six months of their life, they will have 4 visits, all including a physical exam. At each visit the appropriate vaccines and tests will be completed as the pet's age changes. Our patients 6 months and older will have a Canine or Feline yearly once every 12 months. Each visit will include a physical exam, yearly vaccinations, and fecal.
Veterinary Ophthalmology
Nutritional Counseling
Thyroid Test to detect hypothyroidism in your pet. Thyroid problems include weight gain, hair loss and skin problems. Thyroid problems can normally be regulated by a daily medication.
Comprehensive Examination
Wellness programs are offered to our puppies and kittens to better provide the best possible care to our new patients. Starting your puppy or kitten out correctly at the right age can greatly increase the health and happiness of your pet. During your wellness exams you will also have time to ask any questions you may have concerning the health and happiness of your puppy/kitten.

We also take this time to talk to you about heartworm prevention and flea/tick control. These visits will allow us to keep you updated on any new advances or changes in the health care of your pet. If your pet stays three or more nights with us, they will receive a complimentary bath the night before going home. This does not include a nail trim or anal gland expression. For an additional charge, you can request any additional procedures during check-in.

Small Animal Surgery
Here at Murray Animal Hospital, we offer a variety of surgeries including routine spays and neuters. We do offer several different surgical procedures and have a referral service for any procedure we are unable to perform.

In house diagnostics can be extremely beneficial to our patients. We can receive results quickly which enables our staff to begin treatment and diagnose the problem as soon as possible.
X-Ray
Our senior wellness program was specifically designed with our senior pets in mind beginning at 7 years of age. This program consists of a yearly Physical Exam, T4 (thyroid test), Urinalysis, Chest X-Rays, EKG (cardiology), and a Blood Profile Major.
