Dental Examination
Visiting our office every six months gives you the chance to talk to the doctor about any questions you may have about your child’s oral health. Regular exams are offered by appointment only, so please contact our practice today to schedule your child’s next dental exam and teeth cleaning.

Teeth Cleaning
Your child’s exam will take about 30 minutes. Each regular exam includes a detailed teeth cleaning, during which we will clean, polish, and rinse the teeth to remove any tartar and plaque that have built up on the tooth’s surface.
Fluoride Treatment
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a dental home be established by 12 months of age. At the first dental visit, we will complete a thorough exam and provide guidance regarding dental and oral development, fluoride treatments, oral habits, teething, nutrition counseling, and oral hygiene instructions. Remember that preparing for each dental visit with a positive attitude goes a long way toward making your child comfortable with regular checkups.
Dental Sealants
Ask your dentist about dental sealants, a protective resin coating that can be applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth where decay often starts.

Resin Composite
A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. The dentist first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out area with a filling material. We use composite resin tooth-colored fillings.
Crowns
Crowns are a restorative procedure most often used for teeth that are broken, worn, or have portions broken down by decay. When there is insufficient healthy tooth structure remaining to hold a filling, a crown is needed.
