"The breakfast menu was excellent, and they also had a great daily breakfast bar. The wait staff was exceptional, the best out of all three restaurants I went to in Munising. Dinners were also very good, with a large selection to choose from."

Pictured Rocks Cruises Inc
Boat Tours
Munising MI
"Absolutely breathtaking! It brought tears to my eyes. The trip takes approx. 3 hours. They take you from Munising Bay past Grand Island and the old lighthouse to the Pictured Rocks shore line. You will see beautiful, colorful rock formations, waterfalls, beaches, and wild life. The tour guide explains how the cliffs were formed and why they are so colorful. They tell you the names of the rock formations and how they got them. If the weather is good and the waters are calm, they even take the boat into a small cove where you can almost touch the cliffs and see down into the crystal clear water to the bottom. Bring your camera, video camera, and a panoramic camera if you have one. I suggest an afternoon cruise. The sun light shows off the colors better."

Ambulance Service
Ambulance Services
Munising MI
"Paramedics, EMTs and first responders who serve rural Alger County in northern Michigan are dedicated to saving the lives of strangers and friends. Often these paramedics and other emergency medical workers know the people they are helping - and many times it's in a remote area over an hour from the Upper Peninsula's shock trauma care facility - and that means setting aside feelings and doing the best possible job because they are the front lines between life and death. Tourists and other visitors to the rural Upper Peninsula have been saved by these emergency professionals. They revive, stabilize and comfort patients who are in for a long ride to doctors and - if needed - sugery. All rural emergency workers serve as a lifeline between the public and modern medical facilities located a long distance from the scene of the incident. I have witnessed these rural ambulance volunteers working hard to help their patients. Kudos to all these paramedics, EMTs and first responders."
