This place is very busy and the employees are anything but accomodating or friendly. They are intent on wasting your time and selling something.

I joined this particular club when I lived in Mountain View, and later converted my membership to a multiclub membership. This chain makes its money through volume, and lacks some of the amenities that the better clubs have. For example, members must bring their own towels and locks. \r \r The clubs are crowded, and it is particularly difficult to get access to cardio equipment.\r \r The sales people are very high pressure, and often want potential customers to commit on the spot, without such things as a trail period or a sample workout. Sales people and trainers also attempt to get clients to purchase extra training sessions and supplements, which they may not need. Clients' fitness conditions are often made to appear worse than they are to encourage them to buy more training sessions.\r \r The main complaint I have against 24 Hour Fitness, however, is that many of the clubs are dirty. In many clubs, the restrooms are not cleaned very often. Many times, there is no custodial service at all on weekends. This club and the Sunnyvale club have especially dirty locker rooms. There is mold in the Saratoga club, which smells musty as soon as you walk in.\r \r A few Bay Area 24 Hour Fitness are better than others. In particular, the Livermore club and the Santa Teresa club are cleaner and less crowded.

This gym is not only crowded - but cheap. To save electricity, they have the temp set high. It is humid and warm in the cardio room - very counter productive to efficient workout. The free weight area is the only good part about the gym. The swimming pool is ok - indoor and not always clean...\r \r Talked to management about temperature - get standard we'll look into response - but no response.\r \r I'd avoid the gym if I haven't signed on to a long contract w/ 24 hourfitness as I (unwisely) have. What a dump!

I've been a member of this gym for 6 months, and it's the worst I've ever seen after living in 13 different cities in the U.S. Cardio equipment is impossible to gain access to, and it's so crowded in the free weight area, you actually bump into people. The only reason I remain there is because I was tricked into signing up for a membership plan, different from what I was originally told. KRON 4 did a segment on the deceptive practices they use. Go to Gold's Gym, Axis, YMCA...anywhere but this nightmare.
