I had a really bad experience at this car dealership a few weeks back. They actually tried to play the bait and switch with the sales manager walking out and giving me no reason why he low balled my trade in on my car. They never inspected my vehicle nor drove it. But that's what they do these days. Your trade in is either a commodity or going to be sold wholesale. It was really my fault to walk on a lot blind, them not giving me the price on the vehicle I test drove, and then coming back with a price that was above retail on a car that had 7800 miles on it and a dent in the passenger side door. Though it's amazing that I found the price on the vehicle on my phone and was blown away when they came back with their offer. I felt for the sales guy for he had done nothing wrong. It was the analytic Sales Manager that literally walked away when I told him I'm not going to haggle over this deal. Bully for you that you can ask above retail prices on cars and sheeple pay for it. I work too hard for my money to hand it over to this car dealership for them to receive a gouging profit.

Crap

I just spent 2 days dealing with this "business". They don't listen to a word their customers say about their needs or wants. The sales guy disappeared the minute he realized we already had a better deal someplace else on a different car. They flat out lied to my face, and seemed shocked that I had done my research and knew the truth. I would never go back to this dealership. For a new "business" in town, they sure don't care about the reputation they are putting out there.

The WORST car buying experienc...

The WORST car buying experience EVER. First off they list a car that they cannot sell because they can't get a title for it. I understood that, but getting a sales person to followup, call back, email, communicate.....nothing. Web contact sends me to Summerville and absolutely no help. I can only hope that SOMEONE in the McElveen family can see this because the sales management is as bad as the sales "team".

Joel Hopkins of Credit Country Motors, a subsidiary of McElveen, is a LIAR and CHEAT. It is evident in both his professional and personal life. Tax issues, prostitutes, arrests, etc. Ask around in Holly Hill, SC, unless they cover for him.

Buying the car is easy at this...

Buying the car is easy at this dealership, I got a great price and great service. However every time that I have been back in for service it has been a pain. Expect to wait hours for an oil change even if you have an appointment. Now my extended warranty is up and according to what was promised at purchase they are supposed to refund the unused portion of my warranty. However 3 unreturned phone calls later they are scamming me out of my $1700. With so many other chevy dealerships within 30 miles. I would go somewhere else if you have the choice. Even if you live in Mt Pleasant.
