I’m very unhappy with the experience my family and I just had at the restaurant for my mom’s birthday dinner. We had six people in our party and two of them sent food back. The waitress argued with me when I returned a steak that was clearly burnt and black on the top. Another diner was served chicken that was not completely cooked. The waitress did not apologize and no manager or owner came to our table. We were left many times throughout the meal with empty glasses and she rarely checked on us. The second steak that came out was bland and undercooked. It wasn’t sent back a second time because it was mom’s birthday and I didn’t want to make a big deal about it. Mom and I shared the steak and she even asked me “what is wrong with this steak?” because it had no flavor. At the end of the meal, the waitress referred us to the cashier to pay our bill, which is not the common procedure here; the waitress always takes your money to the cashier. I called this morning to talk with the manager and she was rude and argumentative. Would not refund the price of the steak. I have entire meals comped for less than what happened with us; she wouldn’t refund the steak because I ate it. I told it was edible, but the worst steak I have ever had there (I always order the same thing). She said I should’ve asked to speak with the owner; my comment back was that a table that had sent back two plates of food should’ve been visited by the manager or owner. I doubt we will return. The end of a 30-year customer relationship for me and 45 years for my mom (she won’t go back either).
