Yesterday, I noticed a calf developing bloat, an emergency situation, so I called Matt Davis, DMV, whose office, Animal Medical Clinic, is nearby. The receptionist, Sue, said he would call me right back. He didn't, so I called again at 4pm. Sue said, "He has your note." The calf suffered through the night and died at 10am this morning, so I called his office to tell them the calf was dead & I no longer needed their services. Sue went to get Dr. Davis, but he was too busy to talk to me. I received no apology. Sue simply said, "Your note got lost in the shuffle." This experience tells me that my calf died because of disorganization in that office, plus the absence of an apology reveals a lack of compassion. Beware.
