Fantastic experience. My wife and I had traveled 10 hours from Texas when we went to this Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner. The initial service with our server Emily was friendly and efficient. We ordered our steaks and when mine was served Emily apologized to my wife that there had been a mix up on hers but it would be out shorty. Three minutes later the owner/manager Scott came to our table and profusely apologized that the steak had not been prepared properly and he was having a new steak cooked to my wife's specification. A few minutes later the steak was delivered and Scott asked my wife to make sure it was to her satisfaction. Her comment "it is so good I almost want to cry'. Having eaten in a few 5 star restaurants in my many days, this food was the best and the service was world class. To top it off Scott came back with the original steak which had been cooked well done instead of rare, and since Emily had told him I liked it that way, to take it with me as a snack for later. Without a doubt a restaurant with EXCELLENT tasting food and WORLD CLASS staff. Thanks you Emily and Scott for a wonderful end to long tiring day.
Country's Barbecue has been in the City of Montgomery for at least 30 years. My family and I use to frequent the restaurant when it was located on Southern Blvd. The food was very good, the atmosphere was pleasantly laid back, and the service was great. As years passed and the owners decided to expand and open new locations the quality and service took a nose-dive. On a recent visit I was very pleasantly surprised to find they were back to the original Country's Barbecue. The waitress was prompt, courteous, and friendly. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and it was delicious. Simply scrumptious!!! I plan to return real soon for some mouthwatering ribs, coleslaw, fries and the famous lemonade.
El Paso Chili Co is a neat little place tucked away in the Lagoon Park shopping center. The food is prepared when ordered and is always hot and fresh! They have some of the best cheeseburgers and onion rings you will find in Montgomery. But, you cannot make a trip to El Paso Chili Co without ordering their famous, no-bean chili. Hands down...this is the best item on their menu. They usually pack in a crowd at lunch time - so it is best to go early! Their prices are very reasonable and their service is really good!
