I recently purchased furniture form the location in Montgomery , Alabama and to avoid any delivery damage disasters, I decided to pay for it to be delivered by them. Boy was that the biggest mistake i have ever made. The delivery men were not only incompetent but they were also rude. First, they attempted to push a rather large sofa with the legs still attatched through an apartment door with very limited space. When they finally figured out that the sofa was not going to fit, after scratching my freshly painted walls, damaging the tile at the doorway enterance, scratching up the legs and ripping the back of my sofa, they decided to remove the legs. To their surprise it worked;however, not before I was informed that I should have bought a smaller sofa. Then these finely trained delivery men managed to drop my dining room tabletop and chip the ends of it (by the way did I mention it was a black finish and there is no way of hiding it) So, before you elect to pay for your furniture to be delivered by Ashley Furniture's fine delivermen to avoid potential damage, THINK AGAIN and explore other options because you might be just as disappointed and pset as I am today.
