Country's Barbecue has been in the City of Montgomery for at least 30 years. My family and I use to frequent the restaurant when it was located on Southern Blvd. The food was very good, the atmosphere was pleasantly laid back, and the service was great. As years passed and the owners decided to expand and open new locations the quality and service took a nose-dive. On a recent visit I was very pleasantly surprised to find they were back to the original Country's Barbecue. The waitress was prompt, courteous, and friendly. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and it was delicious. Simply scrumptious!!! I plan to return real soon for some mouthwatering ribs, coleslaw, fries and the famous lemonade.
This place has the friendliest atmosphere! As soon as I walked in, I knew I was going to enjoy the meal. The staff really went out of their way to explain how the free toppings worked, they even grilled my jalepenos and my burger was delicious! The fries are to die for, and they give you so many in a brown paper bag that I felt like offering some to the next table but they were chowing down on their fries just like me. I will come back again and again for the excellent service and fresh food. So glad they have expanded from their first location at Eastchase to our Zelda Road shopping area!
El Paso Chili Co is a neat little place tucked away in the Lagoon Park shopping center. The food is prepared when ordered and is always hot and fresh! They have some of the best cheeseburgers and onion rings you will find in Montgomery. But, you cannot make a trip to El Paso Chili Co without ordering their famous, no-bean chili. Hands down...this is the best item on their menu. They usually pack in a crowd at lunch time - so it is best to go early! Their prices are very reasonable and their service is really good!
