Lindenwood Learning is a comprehensive tutoring agency. Rather than focusing simply on homework help, our instructors work one-on-one with students to provide remedial instruction in the core subjects of reading, math and writing. Because we provide personalized instruction rather than computer-based learning, our educators are able to quickly and precisely identify areas of concern and work with your child to address them. Lindenwood Learning offers a prescriptive program, and not simply standardized activities.

Penny Lindblom, our Co-owner and Director is a member of the International Dyslexia Society, Orton-Gillingham Academy for Practitioners and Educators and Charlotte chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Wingate College and a Master of Education degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She worked at South Piedmont Community College as the Early College Liaison for Union County. Elizabeth Williamson is our Education Specialist and Co-Owner, is also trained in in Orton-Gillingham. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology & a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Master degree in Christian Education. Prior to co-founding Lindenwood Learning, she served with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Schools. She also was the lead instructor of the Early Childhood program at South Piedmont Community College. She has been the Director of Christian Education at a large suburban church. She was a Laubauch Education Instructor at Rowan Cabarrus Community College, where she taught reading skills to adults.
