I adopted a dog from this shelter two years ago and everything went smoothly. The adoption fee was extremely reasonable when you consider everything they did for the dog. It is a very old shelter and doesn't look as flashy as some of the other shelters in the area, but the employees seemed to want to help both us and the dogs. As for the other post about letting a child stick their fingers in a cage and getting told not to. NEVER should anyone stick fingers into any cage of any animal. You never know if the animal is going to bite and being in a shelter environment, the animals are stressed. It is foolish and irresponsible and if a dog or cat bites a person, a quarantine period will be in order. That is the last thing that both the shelter and the person wants to deal with. I have never had anyone at the shelter be rude to me. The only issue I had was trying to get someone on the phone. They are a busy shelter, so it is alot of phone tag, but that didn't deter me.
