Swann's Automotive Repair

I was extremely pleased with the service that Swann's Automotive provided to me. I had used a series of automotive shops before landing here. My GMC came to a point where accelerating past 35 mph caused my entire vehicle to convulse terribly. I took it to two automotive shops that claimed they had gotten to the root of the problem. $700 later and my car still was suffering from the same problem.

I heard about Swann's through a family friend and had my car towed from Turlock to Modesto. Within the hour, Swann's contacted me and told me the exact issue that was plaguing my car. I even came in and they showed me exactly what they were going to do to my car. They were honest and spelled out everything that was happening with it. Two days later, my car was running like a dream.

The honesty, professionalism, and efficiency that Swann's showed me was awesome. They made me feel like family. I have been using them for four years now and I could not be happier. Matt Hildreth has the know-how to get your car running and keep it that way.

This 3 generation family owned shop has always handled my vehicles with the utmost care and expertise. When I was fighting a law suit against an unscrupulous auto dealer, they were able to quickly and accurately find and detail all of the problems with the vehicle and provide me the information I needed. Any repairs I have needed through them have always been prompt and competitively priced. I would recommend them to anyone!

Been bringing my car to Swanns since I first started driving and you'll be hard pressed to find a more honest and dependable shop.

Barely a star if that!

First experience was an oil change that I wanted to have complete over my lunch break. I called, asked if they could take my car in now for an oil change, they said yes... I show up and they inform me that they are on lunch break.



Second experience was when my car wouldn't start and I wanted to check to see if it was a battery or issue with my alternator. The man that ran the test was on the phone the entire time and informed me that I likely left my lights on unknowingly and my car was actually in perfect shape as-is. When I tried to start my car later that day, it hardly turned on and my dash was acting wild. I ended up taking my car to another auto repair shop and they ran more thorough checks (a standard procedure for them) and determined my battery was shot.



Out-priced and slow service + sloppy diagnosis on my car. I will never go back when C&H is around the corner.

This is my second experience with this mechanic. The first one was OK, but the second one was HORRIBLE. The first time I used them, it was for maintenance. It was a tune up and oil change. The second time was for an electrical issue. It took two visits to diagnose the problem correctly and they had the audacity to charge me for both diagnostics even thought they were only a few weeks apart. They should have gotten it right the first time. I have tried to call to see if they would take care of the issue, but I have not received a return call.

If your car needs maintenance/ technical problem, stay away!!
