If you are a local and even if your not, everyone knows or has heard of Noah's Hof Brau. I ate there when I was a kid and now take my kids there. I live in town and commute to Stockton, and even people there has been to the Hof Brau. I love this place because it never changes. The food is savory and rich in flavor. I have eaten many things from the menu and it all so very good, but my absolute favorite is the Won Ton Soup. Slices if savory pork and around 15 pork won tons, fresh veggies in a super hot tasty broth in a ginormous bowl, makes this the best soup I have ever eaten in my entire life!!! Cheap, and fabulous... Modesto- don't say you've been there till you eat at the hof brau!!!!
On a whim I stopped by, the aroma was amazing and the man behind the counter was very helpful. I finally decided on fried okra & pulled pork sliders (3) with spicy BBQ sauce they were perfect size and they took the time to even grilled the buns. The fried okra was crispy on the outside and just soft on the insides. For desert I wanted to try their sweet potato pie but was told it is gone as soon as it hits the counter! The lead/owner lady recommended peach cobbler. I have never had a slice so good since my grandmas! The portions were large and so filling I took half home for tomorrow! If you are near the mall you need to stop by for a taste of heaven!
My Chef Restaurant has moved downtown. That has got to be one of the best things about this restaurant. They do accept checks, ATM and credit card. I have visited this location and ate many times, and have always had a great experience. The prices are a little expensive, but the food is good. They have many lunch specials that are a decent price, and the french fries have just the right amount of seasoning. Check out My Chef next time you need breakfast or lunch.
