I ordered my wedding dress in August 2013, they told me it would come in in (maximum) 6 months. By the time February rolled around I had not heard from them, so I called and they said that my dress would not be in until the end of March. (Over 7 months from the time I originally ordered it). So March comes and goes and it is now April. 8 months has gone by and my dress is still not in. My wedding is in June. Brides, stay away from this place.
I was getting married at the beach and was having a hard time finding a dress in my home town. I stopped by Minton'while traveling in the area, and a sales lady name Bonnie helped me. She was very helpful, a little pushy, but I did end up choosing one of the dresses she picked out for me. However, because I lived out of town I asked to have the dress ship to my home so that I could have any alterations done locally. Almost two weeks after I called Minton's to have my dress shipped and the shipping cost was charged to my credit card, I still had not received my dress. When I called back to see if they could give me a tracking number, they told me they forgot to ship it, but they had already charged my credit card!
My maid of honor also ordered her dress from them, more than THREE AND A HALF months before the wedding. They told her that it would be in at least a month before the wedding.
FIFTEEN (15) DAYS before the wedding her dress still had not come in, and when I called they told me they did not know when it would be in or if it would make it before the wedding. They told me it was the manufactures fault! HOWEVER, my bridesmaids order their dresses from a different store (weeks after my maid of honor) and they both had their dresses at least a month before the wedding!! TWELEVE (12) DAYS before the wedding, Minton's called to tell us the dress had come in and they had shipped it that day (we HAD to have the dress in our hands in three days so we could have alterations done).
Three days later (9 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING) there was no sign of the dress!!! We called Minton's to get the tracking number, and when we looked it up to see when the dress would be delivered, it showed that the dress had been shipped that morning! They forgot to ship the dress again; after they told us three days before that it had already been shipped!
The dress was scheduled to arrive SIX (6) DAYS before the wedding, but it was going to be too late to have alterations done!! So SEVEN (7) DAYS before my wedding, my maid of honor and I had to go FIND a dress that would work and that she could buy off the rack!!!
This is the worst experience I have EVER had! How can someone run a company like this, especially in the wedding industry! They have NO customer service; they will leave you on hold for an hour. Once they have your money they don't care what happens! STAY AWAY from this store!!!!!
