What a shame...

Was sooooo hoping this restaurant/bar would be great and it missed the mark. This was my second time there. First time my gf and i had dinner and it was just ok, nothing special to make me come back, but i wanted to give it another chance so i went back a second time for a burger and no go on that either. What a shame.

The Good: Good selection of beers. The ambiance and decor is nice.

The Bad: The food was just ok. They claim to be an american pub, but there is nothing american about their signature burger. The Bricks burger was weird. The meat was tasteless and the sauce they put on it was sweet and didn't work on a burger for me. The fries were good tho.

Blaine finally has a restaurant worth going to

This restaurant has become our favorite ""nice"" restaurant without having to go downtown. It is great for a special occassion as you can easily spend $100 per couple. The food is always exciting with a chef that cares about presentation and taste. The apple walnut salad is so good it should be served for dessert. The lamb chops are exceptional. Any seafood on the menu is worth the money. As Minnesotans, we are not accustomed to oysters. But, please try it. It's like going on vacation without leaving the burbs. Please help keep this restaurant in Blaine. Remember, if you plan to come for dinner the dress code should be dressier than your average Blaine sports bar.

Overall - just average

entrees $10-$32, casual attire. Lamb, chicken, burgers, beef, quail, rabbit, lobster bisque, 3 course tasting menu, Sunday brunch. Sunday and Monday night ? ? price wine. Patio with fireplace.
One word for Cru ? Average. Food was only okay (halibut and quail) ? nothing really special about the taste or the presentation. Crab cakes also just average. Service again ? average. Not attentive and did not continue to pour wine. Server said a sommelier was there, but alas could not be found when we had a question on a bottle of Cotes du Rhone. Wine prices were reasonable, and selection was good, but it looks like they are in the process of making wholesale changes to this. One of our menus was outdated and did not list all of the current day?s items. The white chocolate covered brownie was the best part of the meal and was very good ? the ruby port we had to accompany the dessert was also a disappointment.

Bad Experience

My husband and I went to TAsia when it first opened, and had a poor dining experience. But knowing sometimes it takes a while to work all the issues out, we decided to try it again. Unfortunately our second experience there wasn't any better. There were only 2 other tables dining in the restaurant, and they had left by the time we ordered. Our server was never around, and refills on our drinks were hard to come by. We ordered sushi for our appetizer, which was fair at best. Then after placing our dinner order, our server asked us if we wanted to keep our dirty sushi plates to share our dinner on. His entree was fair, at least it was hot. My lettuce wraps however were terrible. The lettuce had so much water still left on them, it dripped all over. Then you get a small sauce cup size of white rice, kimchee, and a slightly larger cup of chicken. No sauces are offered. So basically you get a soggy, dripping piece of lettuce with a piece of dry chicken. Finally after seeing how long it would be to see our server again, we decided to stack our plates neatly at the end of the table and wait for the check. Since we dine out frequently we don't mind paying higher prices for good food, this time however paying high prices for poor food and even worse service, was irritating to say the least. If your looking for a good sushi place or even good asian cuisine, I wouldn't waste my time or money on TAsia.
